    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

I know you stated you would not blame the victims but...you sort of are blaming them. Assault of this nature would have psychological aspects that cannot be quantified. There are also social ramifications. Being in the spotlight knowing whenever anybody thought of you they thought about your...

EPCOT Brazil is the frontrunner for a new World Showcase Pavilion

They could go in a few different directions. More iconic structures: Or perhaps a colonial inspired: I think either would work.

    New Permit Coordinator

Thanks @danlb_2000 , @Tom and @Master Yoda for keeping this part of the forum and making it a great resource. I would love to help but oh yeah I'm lazy and have no knowledge of constructional engineering.

LA Times: Is Disney Paying Its Fair Share In Anaheim

But pointing out that Disney pays a large portion of the revenue for Anaheim only states that the overall tax windfall is low. Not to get too much into hyperbole area but if the total tax revenue for the city was deflated to the point where Disney was the only contributor or the rest of the...

LA Times: Is Disney Paying Its Fair Share In Anaheim

The 43% number being thrown around is a complete non sequitur. Does it matter if TWDC is paying 1% or 99% of the taxes. Using a ratio for comparison only shows one side of the story. Disney making up such a large proportion of the income only shows how depressed the rest of Anaheim has...

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Some say the girth of the slinky is more important then length, but speed is an important factor. There's some sort of equation, (circumference + distance) x velocity = Z

DHS Grand Avenue and Baseline Tap House

I like the idea of the cheese plate, the $9 pretzel sounds good but it's a $9 pretzel! Went with a very unimaginative slate of beer offerings, Stone, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada. Those are probably amongst the 3 biggest "craft" breweries in Ca and have some quality offerings. Just heavily loaded...

EPCOT Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

For me the whole Poppins fit/not fit controversy comes done to this: When you come off an attraction in the WS you should have a deeper understand of the culture/architecture of the nation. Brave unfortunately fits the bill. Yes it is a toonifyed version of medieval Scotland. But we get some...

Boy jumped into lake a Epcot!

I agree with much of what you have to say. And don't get me wrong I see bad parenting all the time (yes I am judging) but nobody knows the circumstances of each child. We often fall into the trap and bemoan the loss of the old ways but the bygone era is far from always correct. Advances in...

Boy jumped into lake a Epcot!

So in your assessment, anybody that uses these things are bad parents? Pretty judgmental. Everyone thinks their parenting skills far exceed their peers. I'm sure I disagree with many of the ways you decide to raise your kids but if it's not interfering with your enjoyment and the kids aren't...

Boy jumped into lake a Epcot!

Of course it is all semantics but using a term pejoratively gives it a different context. A leash is used on an animal, which of course what you are trying to emphasize. Tethers are the preferred term for the kiddie harness. If you are using the word leash to lay judgment upon their usage and...

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

QUOTE="the.dreamfinder, post: 7910531, member: 76847"]Coco is only 75 minutes long btw. AHH, the SAG doesn't even recognize a film as a feature unless it is 80 minutes long.

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

Quoting myself because this conversation is now in both threads As far as Sword and Stone. I think that would be an even better fit, I personally have never even seen the movie but I can tell it is an Arthurian legend. So you don't really need a knowledge of the IP for it to work.

EPCOT Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Of course nothing is confirmed but I always thought it would be Brave. How else can we have a princess in every pavilion. I don't love the film but I honestly think this IP has the most cultural relevance of any of the other choices. You can gleam at least a little hint of the society...

    Rose Gold Minnie Ears

But TWDC needs my money so they can make all these new attractions. You know they only earned 14 billion in revenue last year.

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

"Braver" huh....as I expected, princesses everywhere. Although this may be a great attraction(s), what an eyesore on Walt's park. I didn't even think that was possible.
