    Maelstrom refurb!

I like Maelstrom. I don't frquent it that often, but I'll be happy about anything that makes WDW a better place to visit for someone, somewhere!

how many more days for you?

    71! It's killing me!

    Crocs

I don't find them to be slippery at all when walking on wet surfaces. I work in a field where I walk through mopped areas quite often during the day and I also wore them at WDW and walked through wet spots. I thought they were designed to be used on wet surfaces-that's one of their selling...

    backpacks and re-entrance

Thanks Monty and cleverocks! I'm glad I can take glass jars of baby food. He uses the plastic ones now but by the springtime he will be eating more than a little container. I really appreciate it!

    Crocs

Thanks for mentioning to get the originals, Marg! The knockoffs are hard and don't last as long. With Crocs, you get the comfort you are supposed to have. 2excitedkids--The exact thing happened to me. I tried my tennies and socks one day and had to go back to the resort to change. My feet...

    backpacks and re-entrance

I thought there was no glass permitted in the parks. What do you do if you have glass baby food jars? I know if you open them they can go bad fairly quickly. I have no problem emptying them into a plastic dish, but I'd like to make sure what I'm feeding my son is safe. Thanks!

Do you show your inner Disney outside of the parks?

I have a couple of tee shirts that I wear often. They are mostly short-sleeved since I usually buy them while I'm in FL. I have antenna toppers that I like to change out and some pins. I also have started a Disney charm bracelet and will add onto it as I make visits down. I think you should...

    Crocs

Farmgirl--I wear mine at home with socks due to work. At WDW, I didn't have one problem or blister-my feet had room to move and breathe. I honestly felt like I was wearing slippers. It was one of the best moves I have made as far as footwear goes. My feet didn't feel like they were slipping...

Anyone worn Land's End mesh water sneakers to the parks?

Thanks BlondPrincess! My little guy will be 10 months when we take him-I wish they made his size. He will probably be barefoot in the stroller-I do have a tiny pair of imitation crocs for him that I got from Baby's R Us. He will look so cute!

    Crocs

I wore crocs last September without socks. I have the ones with the holes that I also wear to work-I am on my feet 10 hours/day. I didn't have one problem while on vacation. In fact, I decided to wear socks and tennies one day and we had to go back to the resort to change into my crocs! They...

Anyone worn Land's End mesh water sneakers to the parks?

Hi everyone! I am starting my planning early-can't wait-and I just looked through my Land's End catalog. I saw some really cool mesh water tennis type shoes that I thought may work out well in the parks. I usually wear crocs and will be taking them with me, but I thought with the mesh shoes...

    Which week in Sept. ?

We were down last year the 10-16. It worked out really well. There was hardly a wait time on anything, and we did the MNSSHP the last night of our stay. If you want to do the party, the first night is the 14. You can't go wrong either way, really. Have a good time!

    Weird girl wearing stockings

People are absolutely entitled to wear what makes them comfortable. However, on all of my visits down, my husband and I have seen some doozies. It just boggles my mind that people could be comfortable in heels at WDW. I have seen some sore-looking feet and many women scuffling around in heels...

    Heeley's in Disney

Heelys are big in my area of MI. I see kids everyday on those things. One kid wasn't looking where he was going and ran into a shelf at Meijer-I laughed soooo hard! I cannot stand the things. If they are not allowed at WDW, I have never seen a child get asked to stop rolling on them. I will...

How many times a year do you go to...

First of all, beachclub, I am sorry to hear about your husband. We go to WDW usually once a year. This is the first time we are returning twice in 8 months. We were supposed to go last May, but I was on bedrest with my pregnancy until June. We opted for Sept and took our 10 week old. Now...

How old is "too old" for a stroller?

Okay-here is my view. Before having kids, I would say to my husband 'Why do people bring their babies to parks?' Ha ha. My infant son will be going for his second time since birth! I think you need to do what is best for you. If I may suggest something-when the kids get tired of walking, go...

    Mature WDW

Jim Hill is good for entertainment, but take what he says with a grain of salt. ETA: I agree with kcnole. I wish Disney would stop throwing yearly celebrations. They are getting old and unless it is a milestone, let people visit for the sake of it being WDW. I'm not sure how that would play...
