    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

No offense to Jim. I love him as well. Ys, he was a gifted director. I too have always thought both he and Walt were the two greatest figures in Hollywood entertainment. But if you just pay attention to the direction of the films, comparing, say, MTM to MTI, the overall flow in movie...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

I try to look at the positive as well. I mean, I'm hoping that the muppets can keep their dignity and heart. All I am saying is that with all the "anything for a quick buck" moves the past several years, today's Disney owning the muppet seems very risky. I grew up with the muppets. They...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

These days, with all the cheap sequels put out by Disney (half of which are terrible), The Muppet Movie 2 or MTM 2 doesn't sound too far off. Or perhaps a poorly animated new "hip" Muppet Babies? ^^) Why do I seem worried? Because I am. True, the muppets needed some life breathed back into...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

Fine. Disney can do whatever the H#ll they want; I'll support them in whatever they do, even if they make The Muppet Movie 2, MTM 2, etc... I'm sorry, but as a person who doesn't accept the Disney can do no wrong/Eisner can do whatever the H#ll he wants and I'll only praise him higher...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

"Yay" for Disney? :snore: A little too rose-colored for me. Thank God that the Henson's are actually in charge now. Without them, I'd be 100 x more worried than I am now. Like I said, time will tell. The Mastercard commercials are pure genius; Brian is such a gifted director. Better...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

The central worry here is that the creativity in Disney has gone downhill. The Disney Channel isn't what it used to be, animation quality is much much worse and ABC continues to suffer. I'm sorry, but I just don't see any sort of turnaround in the future as a permanent thing. And if...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

I'm sure that Pixar doesn't care about this at all :)

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

Time will definately tell here. And you are right: the new muppet show -- or another series, if they decide to re-think the concept -- has a much greater chance of getting off the ground. But what worries me is that today's Disney isn't even close to what it was right before Jim's tragic --...

    Disney Bought the MUPPETS

This doesn't look good. As a huge fan of the muppets, I say again, "This doesn't look good." How long before we see the first of what I am sure will be many cheap exploitations and even cheaper milking of Jim Henson's beloved muppets? Disney is a much different company than it was fourteen...

    Comcast Could Buy Disney

OMG, has H#ll frozen over? I actually laughed at something Eisner said! :)

    Comcast Could Buy Disney

I am totally depressed here. I hate Eisner as much as the next Disney fan, but this Comcast thing makes me sick. One of the most outlandish examples of corporate crap if I ever saw one. Never in a million years would I have guessed that I'd be on Eisner's side. Yet, here I am. Yes, I want...

What Has Roy Disney Ever Accomplished?

Roy saved the animation department and is fighting to save the very heart and soul of The Walt Disney Company. Eisner saved the company two decades ago, yes. And since the late '90's, he has completely cr@pped all over the Disney name. Totally contradicting the person he seemed to be when...

For those of you doubting Lion King 1 1/2...

Yeah, me too. I liked LK11 and BTBEnchanted Xmas only after seeing it. LK 1 & a half looks pretty good. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm not loathing this film either.

    Eisner -- Please Read!

If enough people buy stuff from the store, I will donate the proceeds to charity (keep in mind I only make one cent on each item). There is a cause near me which I have been very passionate about for years.

    Eisner -- Please Read!

Please, y'all, seriously consider purchasing one or more items from the "Support Disney" store (A link is on the group site). Only a few people have purchased stuff so far. But really: what do you have to lose? So many things I've seen on the web -- they say stuff, but don't seem to taker...

    New "Support Roy Disney" Merchandise

I lowered the prices. I think leaving each item at a dollar profit is fair. As for copyright issues, I'll take the risk. If cafepress.com deltes it, no big deal. If I get into deeper trouble ... I'll take the risk. Anyway, thanks
