    Birthday Stories

Two years ago my family and (then) boyfriend went during my birthday. In the morning, we stopped by Guest Relations at the back entrance to Epcot for a birthday button. When the guards checking bags heard it was my birthday they had me get on the phone to hear a special birthday message from...

Ever been stuck on Tower of Terror?

I got stuck on ToT once, right before the 5th demension scene. The elevator doors took a little longer than normal to open. It couldn't have been more than 30 seconds off, and I was probably the only one in there that even noticed but when your sitting in the dark and know those doors are...

Is there a Disney parks age gap??

As a woman in her mid-20s I can completely relate to the "lack of Disney understanding/appreciation". My friends, love them dearly, think I'm nuts for my love and knowledge of all things disneyworld. I feel as though I am constantly attempting to justify "on their level" why it is such an...

    Serious Complaints?

If I'm not mistaken you can still just "drop in a line" at Fort Wilderness. You can fish out of the canals that wind through the campgrounds, although you may need to rent equippment. Is this still true? Amy Lynn

    Cynicism towards Carousel of Progress

I agree with an update for CoP. It is still one of my favorite rides at WDW, but it is sad when hardly anyone recognizes what it is. I just got back, and when we got a fastpass to Buzz, we also received a "fastpass" to CoP. All I could hear people around me saying was: "what is CoP? Where is...

    Help...Water Parks question

(edit: I don't have any kids..unless you count my puggle :) ) I would think that BB would be a better option for the younger crowd. I'm assuming at 3 years old he is not a very strong swimmer. That eliminates swimming through the shark reef (although, yes, he can observe it). TL has a...

Extra Magic Hours...morning or evening better?

Another thing to consider is that in the evening EMH, you can't use fastpass and there are less rides open. Thus, people are congested in certain areas and are forced to wait in the stand-by lines. At evening EMH at the MK, we saw lines for Peter Pan that were (no joke) almost 2 hours...

Extra Magic Hours...morning or evening better?

In my personal experience, I have found the morning EMH to be much less crowded and hectic, with shorter wait times. That said, I HATE waking up early in the morning and I find that if I am waking up at 6am to spend the entire day walking around, I am VERY crabby by 3pm (even with the wonder...

    Honeymoon Question

Congrats on the wedding!! I am leaving in FOUR DAYS :D for my honeymoon with my wonderful DH. As a surprise I called up Disney Florist (www.disneyflorist.com) and had them arrange a wine/cheese/snack gift basket to be in the room when we check in. They are very accommodating and their...

Are they using the Wand structure for the Contemporary DVC

Not saying I think it is the wand structure, but I see what the OP was referring to. It does look similar! And if it is, at least Disney is recycling...way to GO GREEN!!

    Rumors for all 4 parks

The different letters assigned to specific attractions are in reference to the original ticketing system that DL and WDW employed. Each ride was assigned a letter A through E that you could purchase a ticket to. For example, minor attractions received an "A" ticket (like the skyway) while very...

Getting from Ft. Wilderness to Epcot

I would recommend taking the bus. No matter what (unless you plan on renting a golf cart), you will have to use FW's internal bus system to get transfered to another bus which will take you to the parks. The FW internal bus system can be time-consuming alone, but then if you plan on switching...

    Buying wine at Epcot

As an interesting twist, Japan has Sake and Plum Wine (its a sweeter wine, almost like a desert wine). Both are wonderful (but I like most wine!). I believe that Canada also may have some Ice Wines, which are also good. Either way...buy a bottle for yourself too!

    I have a Question

I think I heard the kids say it would have been $20.00...I was expecting about $100 (at least). That stuff is putrid :hurl: . However, definitely a great find Raven!! :ROFLOL: ~Amy Lynn
