Norway Pavilion Frozen construction - Frozen Ever After ride

I have to say, excluding all of the issues such as appropriateness of location (which are moot points at this juncture anyhow) it sounds a lot better from a quality standpoint than I feared. Of course, I had a pretty negative feeling about jamming such a popular property into this location and...

Fast Pass Plus for Disneyland Resort

Well there was an Iron Man "something" in Innovations, though I doubt it was an "attraction" for anyone.

Fast Pass Plus for Disneyland Resort

Exactly, plus the biggest selling point for DL for me is the casual nature in which I can visit the parks. The only planning I have to do is reserving my hotel room and figuring out which nights have shows I want to see. Maybe reserving a table service meal the week before I go. I don't want...

    Safety in the DLR area

You will be fine. You are literally staying directly across the street from the resort and will likely be crossing the street with a bunch of other tourists and park guests. Once you are across the street you are at your hotel.

Poll: Attractions in which you think the Disneyland version is superior

I voted for Pirates and Autopia which to me are clear winners for DL. Most of the others, while I may prefer one coast to the other, I can understand the arguments for either was well. For instance while DL's IASW clearly has the better facade, I prefer the flooded rooms of the WDW ride...

Best non-Disney Hotels to Stay At

Probably not. I haven't seen anything official, but my guess is that even though Disney owns it, it will still be considered a Good Neighbor hotel and not a "Resort" hotel so they won't offer the early magic hours.

    Hatbox Ghost is Disney World?

It is a better ride, but it was in rough shape in March (and in October) and has been plagued with breakdowns lately. It wasn't a 1-to-1 comparison but an example of how DL has its own issues as far as needed maintenance, though not to the level of WDW.

    Hatbox Ghost is Disney World?

Anyone who has rode Buzz recently can attest to this.

    Hatbox Ghost is Disney World?

I can understand why WDW regulars would want the overlay, since it is something new. However, as a DL regular (who I am sure is in the minority) I HATE the Christmas overlay at DL. It was neat the first time I saw it, but after that is just ruins the ride for me. It makes the lighting too...

Fried Chicken: Plaza Inn v.s. Carnation Cafe

I have done it three times and it was great each time. I like the filet there and it is nice getting to eat out on the patio while the sun goes down. Also, the Pixar Play Parade goes right past it so if you are there around 5:15 you can get a nice view. As far as WOC is concerned, we have...

Fried Chicken: Plaza Inn v.s. Carnation Cafe

Thanks for mentioning that, I should have mentioned that in my earlier post. Carnation is the one that can be hard to get a seat if you don't have a reservation. I think my first post might have been confusing.

Best non-Disney Hotels to Stay At

One I would not recommend is the Super 8 on Katella. We stayed there in March because we wanted to save some money but it was dingy and loud. What was worse was that what was loud was the people working there rather than other guests. We were greeted one morning with the sound of a maid...

Fried Chicken: Plaza Inn v.s. Carnation Cafe

For me it is Plaza Inn. Also it is easier to find a seat at Plaza Inn if you don't have a reservation. The menus are the same for lunch and dinner at both. The Disneyland reservation site will have more details if you want to make sure (about those two or any of the other restaurants)...

(Rumor) Haunted Mansion to lose pet cemetery

I was going to post the same thing. Of the "getting rid of things for other things" list of complaints at Disney parks this would be close to the bottom of the list for me. Like you said, it would probably improve the overall look of the mansion as you approach it anyway.

Are World of Color and Fantasmic! Dining Packages Worth It?

I know you are probably talking about F!, but I wanted to mention that while the WOC crowds aren't as big as they used to be, I would expect them to go up considerably after May 22, when the new WOC show debuts. I also wonder if there will be a bump in crowds right before the change over from...

Best non-Disney Hotels to Stay At

These are both excellent choices. Other hotels near BWPPI are the Tropicana Inn, the Carousel Inn and the Camelot Inn. I have stayed at the Tropicana and had a really good experience there. You can also get discounts at the Tropicana and Carousel (at least you did before Disney bought the...

    Muppet-Vision 3D Closing???

Well, I have to say he isn't wrong about Pooh, at least compared to the WDW version. I still don't think Frozen would replace any of the dark rides at DL. I agree that if they add a Frozen ride I would expect it to be something more that a repurposed dark ride. Given the waits for the meet...

Disney buys Carousel Inn for 32 million

I would prefer they didn't. I like being able to stay close to the parks without having to pay $300 a night.

    Doing Dl on a Budget

Here are a few things you can try: You can get your tickets from discount vendors like Orbitz, Cheaptickets, GetAwayToday and way.com. If you have a Target Red Card you can buy Disney gift cards at a 5% discount (same discount at Sam's Club as well) and use the gift cards to pay for meals and...
