I know that time is long and gone, and never really worked well even in the beginning, but I loved the theme of the park.
I still get a lot of nostalgia just looking at the lone tour bridge remaining between Toy Story and Soundstage 4.
It gets me curious what remnants are still in the Toy...
Never going to happen, but I'm picturing an elaborate April Fools joke where "someone accidentally" switches the Star Tours ride film with Body Wars for the day.
I made myself laugh at least. :D
@marni1971 maybe you know the answer, what did they use tour bridge 1 for in the later years, and do the windows of the soundstage overlook still exist in TSMM?
I think I asked before, but does anyone know what tour bridge 1 was used for after the tours ceased?
Do the windows to the soundstage overlook still exist?
I still find it so surreal that the entrances to cast member areas still say "Studio Production Personnel Only"
I guess it's kind of fitting since behind those walls they're demolishing whatever was left of the studio dream.
Part of the backstage tour walkway was removed when constructing TSMM towards the middle, but what would have happened if you walked across tour bridge 1? Did they use it for a long storage closet? Did the windows into the soundstage still exist? It's fascinating
I really wish there was a way (before it's torn down) we could have seen a tour of the remnants of the backlot walking tour and tour bridges. Do the bridge windows still exist in the Toy Story soundstages?
I remember reports from when they were transitioning from MGM to Hollywood Studios; they had said Hollywood Studios was an interim name while they removed the production and studio infrastructures. Once that was done, they were supposed to rename it to simply Disney's Hollywood.
Aww, I was hoping MuppetVision would be coming back to DCA. Much more convenient for me to drive a couple hours than it is to plan a flight and hotel to WDW.
That's understandable, I'm just used to the MGM-era maps. Grandparents used to have a condo so we would go nearly every year from 1999-2006, and I've only returned to DHS this past December so it's hard for me. Just a personal gripe with it.
So glad to see the map oriented like that. Went last December, and the guide map had the park turned around so the Tower of Terror was at the top. It was awful.
