They're taking the Fun out of the Food & Fun Center.

As a matter of fact, I do... the one thing my youngest (9) reminds me of a lot are air hockey games with Dad in the FaFC after the parks are closed. Will the Contemporary keeps its "title" of "largest arcade on the monorail loop"? :D

    Ohannas

    uhhh...oops! :D You are, of course..correct.

Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern?

My choice? Either or... depends on what you're looking for. If you're trying to avoid the "kiddie" atmosphere (as much as you can in MK), then go to the LTT. The Crystal Palace has a lot more families with small children and is a bit more geared toward them. LTT seems to be a bit more reserved...

    Ohannas

Not to be a PITA but it's "O'hana", not "O'hana's" or "Ohannas".. :brick: O'hana is an expression, not a person. That being said, you can eat all you can handle since it's family style dining. "Thank you, drive thru...."

    Disney Quest Going....going....gone!

Old rumor... that's just that (a rumor).

    Horizons

This is because Horizons had "Loranges" (hybrid lemon/oranges from Mesa Verde), and Soarin' has plain old oranges. :) I really, really miss Horizons... The unofficial "sequel" to CoP.

    Odyssey OPEN to regular guests!

As I remember, the Odyssey dining part lasted about 1-1/2 hours, maybe a bit less. After the dinner and show was over, you were conducted to the area right in front of the shop at the center of the lagoon, where there were tables set up with various desserts and drinks, etc. you basically get a...

    Odyssey OPEN to regular guests!

Yep... been there and done just that. I had never been inside the Odyssey in all my trips, aside from when the bathrooms were open to the public. It definitely takes you back to the 80's in there (which in and of itself in not a bad for us who remember EPCOT Center). We went for my niece's...

    Nearest Starbucks

Another good spot, and it goes almost unnoticed is "Contemporary Grounds" at the Contemporary. It's tucked into an out of the way spot literally across the hall from Check-In, and they serve various coffee drinks, etc. as Kona (both are equal IMO). Good hunting!

    Obnoxious Park Visitor Stories

Amen to that! Along with that, I add the large groups of people (6 or more) that insist upon walking abreast and disrupting down the flow of traffic (they usually are "stoppers" as well). When my family gets into areas that have a lot of people, we go single file simply as a courtesy to other...

    whats your trigger

The first trigger is rolling under the purple arch... The "I'm really here" trigger is turning on the TV and the "Countdown" with Stacy is playing in the background. Even my DW keeps it on that channel for the most part. Two trips to go this year! (MNSSHP, and my PRI solo trip!)

I've changed my mind...there are some really dumb people.

For the record (or to sound important while in AK): The location of Mount Everest is Latitude 27° 59' N.....Longitude 86° 56' E It's summit ridge seperates the countries of Nepal and Tibet. Everest's name in Nepal is Sagarmatha (means: goddess of the sky) Everest's name in Tibet is...

    Contemporary Concourse Refurb

A parting shot...from last year These were taken by me last year.... ever since discovering the various forums, I've learned to photograph areas od WDW I really love and enjoy, just because change is inevitable (not that it's a bad thing), and sometimes, that moment just hits you to...

    Creepy original WDW commercial

Disney's advertising has come a long way, that's for sure.... Nice slices of time you have there. I sat back in amazement at the lack of foliage, though... it really gave the MK a different look (kind of empty, barren). No "Mountain" range, or Pirates. I imagine you could see the WDW Railroad...

Disgusted by Brer Rabbit Cartoon from Universal!!!

All I see when these commercials air is good old fashioned competition. I am not a Universal apologist, and while I primarily go to WDW, I have gone to UO (only 3 times in comparison to at least 50 WDW trips though). I will weigh in on the new nighttime show at Universal when we go on our trip...

Pin Trading Nights To END, Rejoice, Rejoice. What is next fad to fall sharply?

I could care less one way or the other.... I buy the occasional pin (usually an attraction pin), either for my wife or myself, and let my boys trade pins with CMs, other guests each visit, but we keep things in perspective. I've seen people with roller suitcases full of pins, pin holder books...

Yacht & Beach Club or Polynesian????

Hehe... it's a bit more than "slightly" longer, but it's not all that bad. We did it from the Boardwalk and the walk time was about 20 minutes. Good exercise, but we took the boat back to the hotel at the end of the day. :D The YC/BC/BW is one of my favorites when planning more Epcot related...
