    FastPass+ Disappearing on Some Attractions?

Sure saves me long waits in line at least 3x a day (FP+) or more if additional FP+ are also available. Along with EMH and staying into closure, FP+ has been key strategy for us to maximize time in park while reducing total time waiting in line while in a park.

Understanding Why Disney's Magical Express Is Ending

We used DME numerous times and with no issues or waits, could not justify paying $40+ a day for a car that would largely sit unused in a resort parking lot for several days. Never been a big fan of the WDW buses from resorts to park, but we managed and without rental car we easily saved...

Understanding Why Disney's Magical Express Is Ending

ME may be ending, but very possible Mears or another company continues the service but at a fee for passengers.

Understanding Why Disney's Magical Express Is Ending

You assume those families won't pay for a bus service that could very likely continue to be run by Mears

    FastPass+ Disappearing on Some Attractions?

"If someone is more tech savvy, or is capable of better learning the way the FP+ system works, they can gain a larger advantage through the system." Happens in all aspects of life, plenty of situations where knowledge and planning benefits those who plan-including for vacations

    FastPass+ Disappearing on Some Attractions?

"We've now been to WDW 5 times since they reopened in July" With max capacity set at 35% or less, completely different experience when WDW is back to 80%+ capacity post-pandemic

    FastPass+ Disappearing on Some Attractions?

travel takes planning and research- WDW is no different than considering which place to visit, where to eat, activities to do on any vacation

    FastPass+ Disappearing on Some Attractions?

Personally I am fan of FP+, we like to maximize our time in park, get there at rope drop and stay until close, and look to avoid long waits. So for advance planning I like to be able to book our allocated FP+ so we are assured of getting into those rides/attractions. For example, ride Space...

    FastPass+ Disappearing on Some Attractions?

worth noting those trips were with parks at 35% or less capacity, would situation be the same when parks are back to more typical 85%+

Seeking additional budget 'hacks' that you may use

bring your own breakfast food to eat in room and snacks/water for lunch into parks-especially those with multiple young kids, can save $100s per day on meals

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

I live in a blue city (with 70%+ democratic) within a red state and it is rare to see someone not wearing a mask at in-door locations, and most are careful about social distancing-and both have been pretty consistent for over a year. Mask wearing and social distancing has varied across the US...

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

Will be interesting to see how it plays out and how WDW responds-as there is already widespread rejection of masks and at some point when majority are vaccinated (summer 2021?) the public refusal to endure masks will be great

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

agreed, I was referring more to the pressure now and in next few months, and that WDW will not be backing down from

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

the only choice one has in these situations is simply not attend-its a difficult and personal decision that only you can make, but it is the only way to protect yourself and immediate family members

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

look at Disney stock price and total revenues-that's how their bosses judge them, and feeds how they approach managing Disney Corp. They aren't interested in entertainment, their focus is profits and speculation that drives stock prices

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

it is the ultimate goal to provide opportunity for all to be vaccinated, but under 16 was always going to be last group (fall 2021 or later) and even without that age group it is possible to get to herd immunity in the adult population-still a few months away for that level to be achieved. Keep...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I think as a society many of the aspects of living and work will return to mostly norm, but jobs were lost, business closed and how work can be conducted has changed and none of those are returning to way it was. BUT people will seek a return to normal in their lives and work and as a result...

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

I don't think WDW is going to have a problem getting business, last week they were full to capacity (35+%), demand will be there including those who would go and wear a mask
