yea I get it, but going early for 830a EMH and still facing 90 minute wait is crazy

perhaps but crazy still to get at park before 830a opening and find yourself in crowd with hundreds and facing hour or longer wait...better strategy is to wait until just before park closes?? (asking as we are going in mid Nov)

yet hundreds are so that within 1/2 hr of park opening, line wait is 120+ minutes

suggestions for any other options?

or get into park at 830a (if resort guest) and head straight to the attraction-should be a much less wait at that time

We are planning trip in mid November and will avoid the extra cost, but use strategy of being at gate before 1/2 EMH each day, plus getting in line for most popular rides right before closing to attempt to experience 3-4 most popular without long lines. And we are also not buying the expensive...

November will be our last family trip (we have 6 visits as family since early 2000s, I have 12 lifetime since 1972), getting too expensive, too much planning, too complex. Feel sorry for other families with young kids who would like them to experience WDW magic but for those reasons listed above...

would prefer more hours, either in morning with EMH or longer park hours associated with 50th anniversary, and without one hr EMH and fastpasses we worry about long lines during current park hours, even with "extra" from 7-9p which would be included anyways if no party

this event occurs our already scheduled first full MK day our next trip (Nov 11th), really messes up our plans set already for MK that day, will be kicked out at 9pm and without fastpass options, not sure what we can get done with 830a start without wasting times in long lines and no not...

We are going in November, will be my 15 lifetime visit to WDW (since 1971) and for wife and adult kids it will be 6th or 7th. Doubt we will be back any time in near future, and I feel really bad for parents with young kids and those with grandkids having to deal with what it now takes to plan...

you make plenty of assumptions here, you have no idea as to how people are paying for the WDW trip and whether some % are doing so by going into debt, and you also have no way of knowing WDW is intentionally target such people. My guess is that you might be surprised at the ability to pay, and...

early/mid May was a very common WDW trip period for us as our kids were out of school while many others were still in

its crowded now because Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest times at WDW, earlier in May has much smaller crowds

with restrictions for social distancing for large events held indoors fast disappearing, seems like all forms requirements on mass transit (except planes perhaps) will also soon be gone, if it is deemed no risk to set next to someone in an arena for 3-4 hrs, they should not be one for a 1/2 trip...
