    Hall of Presidents

As someone who has played in the orchestra for many community musical productions, I have to say, the hands down WORST to rehearse and play day after day was Brigadoon....

    A quick Survey

I agree with cblog. Not only are there people on here that don't go every year, but we have already seen a few who have stated they aren't going or are cutting back. I think this is a good place to get a feel for how repeat visitors are feeling. As for me: I live in Texas. I have gone...

    Young Kids-Fright Factor

I think Tough to be a Bug is probably one of the scarriest things on property for kids. Combination of dark, loud noises, Hopper, feeling the stingers in their seat. I know Kids who love EE, but will not go near that movie. My daughter was 4 when I had to carry her out of the theater in...

    Young Kids-Fright Factor

Like others have said, it depends on the person. One idea is to go through one of the planning books and talk to your kids about what different rides are like, that will help the get excited and give you an idea about what they might not want to try. Also, TTBAB, Snow White, HM, and Sticht...

    Tipping--how to handle?

I think most employeers take a cut of credit card tips and call it a "processing fee". I worked on a case where our client was taking a 6% cut of all their workers credit card tips. They had to go back and pay a settlement since in Texas its illegal to take more than 3%, but still.... that made...

Ok for a 19 and 15 year old to go alone?

My daughter flew from Texas to Hawaii by herself this summer and she's 9. Honestly, As long as you are both mature, responsible and know how to read maps, signs or ask for directions, I don't see why it would be a problem for you two to go on your own.

    Whats with the Disney haters?

I wish corporations opperated differently. I wish companies who made huge profits would turn around and paid their front line workers a living wage instead of offering their CEOs who are already millionairs, million dollar bonouses. It would be better for the workers, better for the company (who...

Birnbaum 2009: Space Mountain closed in 2009

I completly agree. I'm not a fan of the idea of having music blasting in my ears. That's one of the few things I don't like about RnRC. I do have to say though, SM needs a re-ferb. Even if the track layout, cars and everything else stays exactly the same they need to do something about how...

    ? about medical emergencies inWDW....

I don't think valet service is that unusual at a hospital. All the hospitals I have been to in the Texas Medical Center have it. It makes sense really. When sick people are coming in for treatment they might have a hard time walking the long distance from the parking lot to the building.

    My beef with the resorts

Uhm... I don't understand your call for kid programing. They have a whole chanel that plays nothing but Disney Cartoons. They also have the Disney channel which every tween I know is in love with. It has always kept my DD entertained while got ready in the mornings.

    Age of First Visit

I agree. Its a personal choice. If you are only planing on going once in a life time, I would wait until the child was 5 or 6. They will be able to ride more, and handel the parks better. They are also still young enough to enjoy the magic of it all. I went twice when I was growing up. I...

    My beef with the resorts

I was just about to mention this. I know Captin Cooks at the Poly is 24 hour.. or at least it was still open at 12:00 am when we stoped in there to get a dole whip last week.

    Blue guns at MK

Am I the only person who remembers the kid who was shot and killed by a police officer because he had a water gun and the cop said that it looked so real he couldn't tell that it was toy? Laugh all you want, but when it comes to guns, people find themselves in situations where a split second...

    Mickey's Not-So-Scary

We just got back from our trip and did the MNSSHP on 9/28. . I love the parade, I think its the best Disney does. But even if you don't care about the parade and fireworks, its worth it for the short lines. A lot of things, like Space Mountian and Splash moutian were walk-ons even early in the...

Thanks to the US gov't, who WON'T be going to Disney World?

as a person who works for a law firm that consults with large companies about their Employment and Labobr issues, I can tell you that a good number of people people will be feeling it later this year.

    free dining bounceback for 2009

That sounds logical. I guess we'll have to work out the details when we get there.

    free dining bounceback for 2009

Question: My mother and I are taking a trip at the end of september and are looking at doing the bounce back. We are sharing a room this go round so we could stay at the Poly, but if we wanted to book the bounce back could we get two rooms if I put one under my name and she put one under hers?

EMH wristbands to be discontinued September 7th

To me its a lot more relaxing to get up at 6, hit all the major rides and right about lunch time go head back to the room for a nap or swim. Mean while all the "relaxed" vacationers who slept in can stand in those 60 minute lines in the 90 degree heat.
