We went once for dinner, and waited 20 minutes to be seated. After being seated, we waited an additional 15 minutes for a server to show up - but no one ever came to serve us so we left and went elsewhere. IMO, totally not worth it!!!

We book almost a year in advance for every trip, so I can't imagine waiting until 6 months!! Worst case scenario, we have to cancel or move a ressie; we've moved dates six or seven times, cancelled *maybe* twice. I think planning ahead and making room+dining ressies early is the only way to go.

We stayed in a BCV Studio in 2009 and a BCV 1BR in 2010. Both had flat screen TVs, if that's what you mean by plasma.

About 80% of the visitors at WDW are celebrating a birthday on any given day. They can give you a button to wear, but that's about it.

The food isn't even similar, much less identical, IMO. Read the menus and you'll see. Raglan is worth a visit, Cooke's is not, unless you're in a gosh aweful hurry.

It sounds like you're using the regular booking page. You have to go to the "Passholder Offers" page under the Passholder home and select the special offer for your time range, and then book through that special offer page. I don't think January rates are out, though.

It doesn't cost anything, free 5x7. But yes you do have to show your card before entering.

You get what you pay for. To me the values feel like Day's Inn. The moderates and deluxes are a million times nicer and worth it, IMO. So I'll continue to boost Disney's bottom line by staying deluxe.

$700 for 6 nights - that would be at one of the value resorts, which are like Days Inn (IMO). The Grand Californian is a deluxe, which is like, well, DELUXE. You can't compare the two.

Are you talking about an outdoor hot tub or a whirlpool bathtub in the room? Most deluxe resorts (except the Poly) have hot tubs near the main pool. Only DVC villas have whirlpool baths.

If you are willing to be completely disappointed when they instantly respond that there are no walk-ins available!! Have a backup plan because you will need it.
