Apparently they do...while at both the Poly & WL I have seen/had CM's ask to see room keys. One family (parents & multiple kids) were asked for the keys, showed them and were told they were not staying at the hotel and would have to leave and use the pool at their hotel; the CM escorted them out.

Don't know where in NY you are, but we are about 45 miles north of NYC and we have tried to drive straight through and will never do so again! It may be only 20 plus hours mileage wise, but add in traffic (the truck traffic is horrendous and watch for heavy commuter times), breaks and such and...
