I have to agree with the alive feeling as far as cast members go. Almost no actual African cast members at Kidani, so it took away from the experience a little. Wish it had a better mix like AK park has. Rooms and savannah are very nice and the bus service is the best of any resort so far.

Where is everyone buying already? I just looked on the Disney World Official site and there are no options to buy yet? Am I missing something?

Seeing as DVC members can only book 11 months out...it is impossible for them to be booked for years in advance.

We're staying at a hotel on 535 on Easter week. Anyone know if it's best to go 535 to Buena Vista Drive past Downtown Disney in the morning or go 535 to 536(International Drive) and then on to Epcot Drive. Perhaps even 535 to I4 to Epcot Drive?

For some of the resorts; such as the Contemporary, GF, Boardwalk, Y&B Club, the location is part of the experience. Being within eye sight of the parks adds to the theme as a whole so the actual resort doesn't have to go as far to create a Disney feeling. The view and the proximity to the action...

To me Disney's job is to take you to a place and/or time you could not normally be part of. If I can go to New England rather easily and find a hotel similar to Y&B Club than I don't really feel that Disney has "plussed" my experience that much. The pool is killer, they did a great job there...

I've looked into Garden Grocer for other trips (we are DVC, but have enjoyed the magic too many times to stay on points this time;)). Because I'm kind of unfamiliar with the hotel, I don't want to count on the service. We are driving and depending on traffic our travel time could fluctuate...

I posted something about it a few months ago when there were rumors of Australia coming to AK. Disney had a preliminary assessment done to see if it was a feasible venture. Didn't sound like anything ever came out of those meetings and assessments.

It has nothing to do with entitled. Entitled is when you expect more than what you paid for because you believe you deserve it just for being you. Expecting good service (which in my opinion is courteous CMs and receiving what you pay for) is what makes Disney so magical. We go to Disney...

Just to add to possible exceptions...some of the world showcase shops that are not technically Disney owned might not accept the gift cards.
