Pre-Trip It’s been 2 long years… Watch out Disney, here we come! 😉

The Fountain has our favorite ice cream on property! We also like the food at the restaurant.

    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

Dining updates! I cancelled GF Café. The menu is not that appealing and we may not want to resort hop that day anyway. If we do, we may try for Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace which has a veggie rainbow roll and some tofu lettuce cups. Contempo Café has some good veggie options and at some point we...

    Seeking airbnb advice

Looks like your situation was resolved, but wanted to add my two cents in case people have similar questions in the future. I am not an AirBNB host, but I am a freelancer and some of my work comes from sites where all communication and billing is done through the site. When potential clients...

If you could design the Disney dining plan-what changes would you make?

As a vegetarian I would like the option for a veg-only dining plan with a much lower price tag. Why should I pay the same up front if my entrée costs $10-25 less OOP than the meat entrées? Obviously this will never happen and this is just one reason I will never pay for the DDP.

    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

TWO WEEKS UNTIL DISNEY!!! We have a confirmed cast! Obviously M and me (Contemporary and Swan), MIL and FIL (offsite), and my brother Jay (hasn't decided between Coronado and offsite-he has three different reservations and has to choose soon haha). M's brother and his girlfriend fiancée (!!!)...

Recs for Vegetarian-friendly ADRs in the era of "family style" menus?

My wife and I are both vegetarian and we sometimes meet up at Disney with my brother, who is also vegetarian. We all eat eggs and dairy but also enjoy lots of vegan food. As @Weather_Lady noted above, all of the family style meals have both meat-full and plant-based options. From the menus I...

Now that indoor masking is back are you cancelling your next trip?

Still going in a few weeks! We were going to mask up indoors anyway given recent numbers, so we certainly don't mind that everyone will be masking up! DW and I have both been fully vaccinated since April and we are not too concerned for ourselves, but we don't want to spread it to others and of...

    Disney After Hours BOO BASH

I read in another thread that WDW allowed someone to apply the value of their BB ticket to a future ticket purchase. I suggest you call.

    grand floridan afternoon tea

Unfortunately no one really knows, and Disney isn't announcing reopenings until shortly before the actual reopening date. If I had to guess I would say probably not, since Disney is still "behind" in opening regular restaurants, and special experiences like Afternoon Tea are not their priority...

Long stay- split or same room?

I have never stayed at WDW 10+ nights, but even for a 6+ night trip I like split stays. They allow me to try a resort I can't afford for the whole trip (or at least am not willing to pay for the whole trip!). In August 2019 I stayed at Pop for four nights and the Boardwalk for three nights...

    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

Who's ready for some DRAMMA??? In April I booked a cabana at the Swolphin pool for 8/21. At the time of booking, Resort Pass was renting out both cabanas and reserved chairs to anyone who wanted to visit for the day. I could have either booked under my resort confirmation number and paid later...

Think there will be a return to the 180-day window for ADR’s?

If it makes you feel any better, I'm guessing Disney will announce at least a few days to a couple weeks in advance of the effective date, IF they change back to 180.

    Boardwalk shopping and restaurants

I have been allowed by the guard to park there "to go shopping," and I have also been turned away, especially during peak times.

Walt Disney World theme park hours updates

Personally I hope Epcot stays at 11am opening for awhile. You early birds get all the other parks, leave one park to rope drop for the rest of us! :joyfull:

Traveling from Poly to AKL... best way?

Lyft/Uber is certainly your fastest, easiest, and most direct option. If time is of the essence, just pay the $10-15 for peace of mind. When I have resort meals planned into my trip, I always budget for a few Lyft rides. You could even take Disney transportation there and then Lyft to your...
