Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

From what I’ve been reading, the sweet spot is around $150 a seat in the 400 section down the middle. Closer seats are more expensive, but not necessarily a better experience.

News 3-Day Disney World Florida Resident Ticket Offer Returns for Fall 2025

Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom is $200. For almost the same price, you get three days at three parks, two days before Christmas. I’m sure that’s a good deal for some people! Going to be staying on property, and I am a Florida resident, but like last year, I don’t think I’m going to have park...

    Trip Report Tu in ‘25

I think we had the same meh chicken from the same place, with the same terrible ratio of chicken to rice. It was like rice, with a little bit of chicken as a condiment. I would say you are copying me, because I posted first, but you went first! So I will say, “great minds…”

Screen Unseen last night was “Eleanor The Great,” about an old lady who fudges a story about surviving the Holocaust. Worth watching, no need to see in a theater.

Trick question. Once there’s pineapple on it, it’s no longer a pizza!

Trip Report 2 broke guys and the deluxe bday trip!

A recent post a la the TR of The @Tuvalu reminded me to check for ride photos! I always forget this. Nailed it! 😉😆😆😆 Nailed it again, in two directions! (We’re in the back row.) 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣🤣 Close up of nailing it…or, in B’s case, napping it? Caught napping! Is that Sam Smith in front...

News Disney Vacation Club announces plans for more than 350 new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Yikes. We were quoted a discounted price of around $29K when buying 150 points. I thought if that went lower, it might work. One of their big selling points was the length of contract. I’m confident I won’t live that long, so the “savings” are diminished. Plus, I often rent rooms on Chase...

Whoops, except Sip, Savor - which was a pay in advance affair, and paying with points was not an option.

Trip Report 2 broke guys and the deluxe bday trip!

That’s a lot. Although, I guess it’s similar to a very merry Christmas party ticket? And certainly this experience would be equal to that. I can rationalize anything! I think this would depend on if I have oodles of points to spare. Currently, I do not. We’ve been blowing through them! We did...

Trip Report 2 broke guys and the deluxe bday trip!

UPDATE: booked a placeholder via Disney’s own site for Saratoga Springs, 12/24-12/26 for $700 including taxes. There are some fairly impressive sales going on for those dates! SS was our first stay that was almost at Christmas time, years ago. I brought a tiny tree from home, but it was more...

You’re probably keeping better track of my trips than I, but friendly reminder: there was an extra visit before this trip report began. Sip, Savor is highly recommended at this point! I think we’re all overdue for a magicians meet up!

News Disney Vacation Club announces plans for more than 350 new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Obviously, it all depends on what you like. We love the cabins for very particular reasons: you can bring a dog. You have no hallways to walk through with other people. You have no other people at all. You have your own private little “house.“ I love that. If they are knocking $12,000 off...

    Pre-Trip I May Have Done a Thing...

As someone who has escaped to Disney to avoid Christmas at home, I think this is a great choice. And we love CBR. Also: you can decorate your rooms!
