Horizens: The History of the Future

No need to be humble Martin, your videos are a great resource. I always love watching them, especially as someone who grew up at WDW in the 70's and 80's...great stuff!!

Imagineers set to demo part of WOL pavilion

I'm not sure if anyone else saw the leaked plans for the new Imagination refurb. But what I saw included a new AA that looked a lot like Iger with a top hat and an orange beard. I believe he was called the CashSnatcher and his vehicle sucked up other peoples IPs in the front and spit money out...

Imagineers set to demo part of WOL pavilion

I can answer that one on behalf of TDO. A new ride or atttaction cost money. An empty space is much cheaper to maintain and staff. Besides, you always have Soarin' to wait 90 min for, that should occupy a good chunk of your day at Epcot.

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

I saw a couple of guys slugging it out in the Epcot parking lot (I believe it was in the Amaze section). All the while, the two pugilists women were cheering their respective champions to victory. This was done during the F&W festival. I also saw a woman twerking outside of The American...

Out of control WDW ticket prices

At least you will see why ticket prices increased at Uni. Heavy investment in new E ticket type rides is a good use of my admission money rather than Disney's current path. It's become so bad that we're just relieved that, as bad as it is, they're not going to just shutter Imagination. It's no...

Out of control WDW ticket prices

Exactly. It's this way of thinking that has turned Epcot into a half day park that relies on festivals, not attractions, to boost its attendance.

    Confess your Disney Sins!!!!

I never watch the parades and I always park at the Polynesian Village ( yeah, I still call it that) or the Contemporary when I visit the Magic Kingdom so I don't have to deal with the crowd at the TTC.

The worst decision WDW ever made?

I feel you are right on the money with many of your assertations. While I liked Body Wars, everything else in there seemed sort of dated already. That being said..I would rather see it opened as a functioning pavillion than over priced picnic tables.

Ever seen someone famous while at wdw?

While I am far from famous, everytime I'm at the parks, I get asked "Are you Gandalf?"I have no idea why!!!

If the WDWMagic Forums existed in the 80s, what would folks be saying?

"EPCOT Center is so choice (using the slang of the era) right now in 1988....I can't wait to see how ' (more era specific speech) it's going to be in 2014. I'm sure they will have added even more attractions and rides. But you'll probably have to pay like, 60 bucks to get in, though"

The worst decision WDW ever made?

Well, it all started with the indefinite refurb of 20, 000 leagues. We all know the rest from there.

Disney Movie that deserves its own ride at WDW

I always felt WDW was cheated out of a proper Alice dark ride. I think The Black Cauldron would had been cool as a dark ride too

El Rio Del Tiempo vs Grand Fiesta

I gotta go with El Rio. I especially liked the Aztec gods depicted in the first act of the ride. I also thought the finale seemed a lot more kinetic with the carousel and mirrors. And last but not least, another one of X Atencio's catchy songs.

Traces of history that shouldn't be there

Yeah. I remember eating at the Odyssey as a kid. I think the one in Communicore West was called the Sunrise Terrace or somthing to that effect

Rides that are better at night?

Nothing will beat the Sky Way at night. I suppose my age is showing. I still call the astro orbiter StarJets.

Traces of history that shouldn't be there

te="Cmdr_Crimson, post: 5893837, member: 18673"]Yep..This picture I took was taken at night.. Didn't there used to be a restaurant there that served pizza and pasta back in the Communicore days?

Traces of history that shouldn't be there

    H. Abiff's working tools refers to Hiram Abiff and the working tools of a master mason. the trowel, square, compass and gavel, which you may notice on the side of the crate as well. This is the only masonic reference I've noticed in the parks. I've just always found it odd that's it's there.
