    Pandorolympics - questions

We're going in September and will only be going to AK for 1 day. I'm having a hard time deciding which ride to FP. Originally I was going to FP FOP and ride NRJ at rope drop. Now I'm debating on doing FOP at rope drop (I really want to see the entire que) and either FP NRJ or FOP to ride...

    Ohana- breakfast or dinner?

I agree. We have done both more than once. To me there is nothing special about the breakfast besides the characters and the bread. Now the dinner, we love. The food is good and plentiful and it's a unique experience. This is my almost 12yo daughters favorite place to eat at WDW (for dinner).

Pre-Trip My birthday at Disney Springs??! Don't mind if I do!

Another fellow Cbus'er :). I think a WDW vacation with no parks sounds delightful! We ate at Homecomin' on Christmas Day and it was very good. We weren't a fan of the chips that came with the sandwiches, but everything else was delicious. We're heading down in September and for the first...

Pre-Trip I Ordered a Tomboy but Got a Disney Princess Instead...

It was a surprise to me. The article I read (I think it was in Forbes) said Columbus' population is more than Cincinnati and Cleveland combined! :jawdrop: Disney music on a loop? Sounds like a Disney store. My SIL is a cast member at a store and she despises Frozen because of hearing Let It...

    ADRs and Hours of Operation

Yes, well at least until 10:55am that I saw when I booked a breakfast ADR yesterday.

Missing Disney Springs versus the parks because of the crowds?

Disney Springs is always a must whenever we go to WDW. My kids (tweens) even insist we go because they enjoy it so much. Last time we went my youngest joined in a hoola hoop contest. We love the atmosphere. Plus we can't miss out on Goofy's Candy Company!

    Labor Day Weekend 2017

Good point. I'd expect Epcot and AK to be busier than usual compared to normal Labor Day weekends.

    Labor Day Weekend 2017

From the several crowd calendars I've looked at the crowds are predicted to be light to moderate. My guess is that this should be a fairly accurate prediction since most kids are just newly back into school so the crowds will probably consistant mostly of locals instead of those traveling from...

    DAK Drum Circle show

I didn't watch the whole thing, but what I did watch I liked. I'm a sucker for drums. The show in Japan always fascinates me.

News Disney Not Renewing Great Movie Ride Sponsorship Deal with TCM ; Attraction to Close

I rode GMR with my daughters (10 & 11) in December. It was their first time. They both loved it. They loved the individual movie scenes, the guide and the film scenes at the end. It will be a shame if/when it goes.

Pre-Trip The Empty Nest is Full Again pre-trip report!

Awww, that's sweet. I'm afraid he'll never change his mind. He's been to WDW many, many times and is just over it. Plus he's claustrophobic and has slight anxiety issues which makes the crowds and waiting in any lines a very unpleasant experience. It's ok though since I have plenty of people...

Pre-Trip The Empty Nest is Full Again pre-trip report!

We'll be going during the same time as you. How exciting to have your grandsons with you this trip!! I love that your family is so into MNSSHP. My husband has zero love for Disney (that's why we're leaving him at home this trip and probably all future trips :joyfull:) which bums me out since...

How close are you to WDW?

:joyfull: Yes, many times. It takes about 16 hours one way. We've driven straight through and other times we've stopped at a hotel or stayed with family in Savannah. We have a lot of family in Orlando so it made more sense to drive (and it's much cheaper).

Trip Report 4 Days is NOT Enough! COMPLETED

Oh, I also wanted to say that I agree with you wholeheartedly that 4 days simply is not enough time, BUT it is better than nothing. The longest we've stayed is 6 nights (or is it 5?) and my hope is to one day stay for at least a 9 night stretch.

Trip Report 4 Days is NOT Enough! COMPLETED

Great trip report!! I love reading what people are able to squeeze into their vacations. My daughters and I are going in September for 4 nights but only visiting the parks 2 of those days. Those are going to be a couple of loooong days. :joyfull: Good thing for us though is that we've...

    Park Pizza Places

Wow. I had no idea Pizzafari was no longer serving pizza and instead serving flatbread. While they're similar they are not the same.

    Wilderness Lodge Roaring Forks

I love their Chocolate Lovers Waffles. So, so yummy. I think about them often and may have recreated a version at my house.

How close are you to WDW?

We live in Ohio, so about 900 miles away. We have gone every year (minus 1 year) since 2011 and each time we have driven. We're going this year and flying for the first time. My girls are super excited since it's their first time flying anywhere. Edit: I just google mapped it and we're much...
