    That article indicated what had happened on that specific day - the layoffs continued Friday-Tuesday. I think it was intentionally misleading to get buried in the news cycle.

    600 is a lot - but typically they run 3 marching bands a lot of days before Festival of Fantasy which probably adds up to around 600. Not too crazy.

    You must have a bad luck because it's not that common, unless you go in the summer during season. Lightning and metal benches plus Mickey on top of a mountain never work out great.

    I mean, it was tacky when the attraction still functioned, but now that it's closed, I don't see an issue with an hour dessert party there. It used to be in be firework viewing area so I'll take it where it doesn't block the viewing.

    I'll also play the angle that there's a shortage of work force for Orlando area, all theme parks are doing massive hiring fairs, so it could be a short term solution, too.
