Bon Voyage or Garden Grill breakfast?

Been to both for breakfast and Trattoria al Forno has much better food. Delicious! I wish they still had some of the restaurant set aside for "breakfast sans characters", although it's not a deal breaker. Garden Grill is nice for the character interaction and location, but the food is your...

    Duck at Chefs de France.

I am a huge duck fan -- love it! If you like the dark meat of chicken or turkey, you probably will like duck. That being said, the duck I had at Chefs de France was dry and bland. Of course, that was a couple years ago and a different entree, so your mileage may vary. :cautious: If you do...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

Wow! After 50 pages of everything from "dogs (potentially) ruined my vacation" to "stay somewhere else if you don't like it" I realize why I sometimes prefer the company of my corgi. :) Yet, as much as I miss my pup when I travel, I probably would not bring him to WDW. Of course, I'm...

    Annual Pass Quandary

I've read that you can use a voucher. Plus, I think the 30 or 60 day window is linked to your Disney hotel reservation.

    Annual Pass Quandary

OK, great, so I can use the voucher to book FP+ later this month, then exchange it for the AP when I arrive in WDW in October. Thanks!

    Annual Pass Quandary

I'll be visiting the WDW resort at the end of October with my sister and in the Spring with my folks. My quandary is this: should I get an AP now or wait to upgrade a regular 7 day hopper pass? If I get an AP now, I can save the regular pass for the Spring trip for one of the rents. I believe...

The current best burger at WDW ?

It's been a few years, but one of the few times I got a burger at WDW was in Paradiso 37. Service was not up to par, but that Pineapple burger was excellent. Ordered medium rare and it came out perfectly pink and juicy. I had heard that it was the only place that would serve it any type of...

    Magical Express???

Mind if I jump in with a question? Can you take DME just one way? Traveling with my sister to Orlando together, renting a car, but leaving on different days. Thanks!

The Official Gay Days Trip Planning Thread

Never been to the event at WDW, but did manage to be in California one year and somehow stumbled across the last day in DLR. Just me and a Jungle Cruise full of my happy brethren . . . best "cruise" ever! :D

Looking for Something Unusual but Cheap

My sister and I did the parasailing a couple years ago. It was a chilly October day, but the experience was wonderful! It's very quiet way up there, almost peaceful. You launch and land on the boat; don't get wet at all. We loved it! This is from the Disney website: All fliers must be 6...

Looking for Something Unusual but Cheap

The Archery Experience at Ft Wilderness is a lot of fun -- and relatively inexpensive. When we went it was about $45 per person, but it's probably more now. Magic Behind the Steam Train tour isn't too expensive (in the grand scheme). The new Caring for Giants sounds great too. Of course...

    Solo trip

Solo trips can be whatever you make them. There is more freedom to do, see and experience what YOU want. Take a tour. Go parasailing. Dine where you've always wanted. It really can be very liberating and fun as long as you're comfortable being a solo traveler.

    Archery experience @ Fort Wilderness

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, took the boat over to the Ft. Wilderness marina, then a bus to the Bike Barn. There are announcements on the bus that let you know the stops, but I think it was the Purple Loop -- or not. ;) There are maps at all the stops though. You can also walk if you're...

    Archery experience @ Fort Wilderness

I did this in 2015 with my parents; thought it'd be something different for them to do. I was initially concerned due to my Mom having recently had wrist surgery, but she loved it! No problems with the compound bows. The instructors were patient and experienced. There were only 5 of us in the...

    Favorite place for breakfast

Found a "hidden" gem with Trattoria al Forno. Had the poached eggs with polenta - yum! Have also enjoyed breakfast at Boma, Crystal Palace and Whispering Canyon.

How bad is the Wilderness Lodge construction?

OK, I've seen a reference to discounts during the construction . . . is this due to the Summer, early Fall discounts already out? Or is this specific to the WL and the ongoing construction?

Which dvd format do you prefer?

Would you care to share how to access that particular Easter Egg? Please. :)

Ok so what things do you refuse to pay for that you'd actually like to do?

Stayed at the Beach Club on my last trip during F&W Fest - loved it! I had a "garden" view room and could see some of the fireworks over top of the jungle, uh, garden. The easy walk to Epcot and leisurely stroll to DS was worth the expense, at least for this particular trip. I've also had...

    Christmas or Food & Wine

That's a tough choice! But, as others have mentioned, if you go at the end of F&W and the beginning of the Christmas season, you can experience both. Just avoid weekends at F&W. Personally, I love the F&W Fest. Totally enjoy the classes and tastings. Love the kiosks and trying different...
