    Can you show up early???

Totally depends on how busy they are. I have heard people told to come back closer to their ADR time. I have asked super nicely if we could be sat early, and got lucky. As far as being late goes, that too depends. No way will Disney turn down money if they can help it. But if the...

Transportation from Beach Club to MK

You only partly control your experience. You will still have to boat or monorail into the Magic Kingdom. And you may have to wait for a tram to even get to the boat/monorail.

    Swan and Dolphin

I have stayed at both resorts, but prefer the smaller size of the Swan. And the larger beds. You can't beat there price for how close they are to Epcot. Love being able to walk back to my resort. I have done 5 stays at the Swan and Dolphin over the last few years, and one stay at Coronado...

Sad State of The Grand Floridian

To be fair, the room rate starts a bit over $600 and goes up over $900 over Christmas and New Years. but $600 is still more than I would pay.

Sad State of The Grand Floridian

People have cows when their favorite resort is going thru a refurb too. I think they try to stretch it to avoid that, but end up going too far.

No outside food, strollers or scooters can be delivered to Disney Resorts?

Or the people running into others don't use a scooter at home because they can deal with limited walking, but need one to get around the parks. Anyone renting one to get out of walking would soon find walking is the better choice between the two.

    Unsettling “security” checks.

Being drunk and passing out is vastly different. We always use the chain/latch if we are in the room, and have for years. Sure it means if there is only 2 of us I won't hop in the shower while they are gone, but it is easy enough to work around.

    Unsettling “security” checks.

If that is what you room tag stated it was different from everyone else's. "The Disney hotel and it's staff reserve the right to enter your room, even when this sign is displayed for maintenance, safety, security, or any other purpose. The Disney Resort hotel staff with knock an announce their...

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party price increase

Yup. And it was barely worth the cost then. Glad I did it before the price became so crazy.

Epcot Forever is forcasted to be one of those soundtracks

Lands of Wonder, thanks for the clip. The music gives me hope they are not stopping my beloved Illuminations and replacing it with a crap show--looking at you Magic Kingdom.

    4th of July crowd question

4th of July at Epcot, 3rd of July in the Magic Kingdom. For sheer impact the Epcot fireworks are the best!

The different tone of voice my grab their attention.

    Room security checks

My stay last month at CSR they checked twice when I was in the room. It took all of 15 seconds, if that. And Do Not Disturb signs are a thing of the past. The ones they have now say Room Occupied. And state along the bottom that seeing the sign will not prevent them from knocking and...

What resort do you think you'll never stay at?

Old Key West or Saratoga Springs. Neither appeal to me at all.

    Uber/Lyft from MCO

I have never used either car service before, but I am considering using one of them to get from MCO to the Swan this fall. Can someone tell me what the going rate typically is (I know it may be more, so I'm not holding you to it). Currently I have a town car booked both ways, and it is $150...

Best Cost effective ( on site) options for 7 people

2 connecting rooms at any of the 3 All Star resorts. The All Stars run a bit cheaper than the Pop. And you want to request connecting rooms, which are the rooms that have an inside door between them. Adjoining rooms, to Disney, are just rooms near each other.

    Insanity Pricing Officially Reached

Just yesterday I was pricing a trip to Mackinaw City. For a 2 star motel (and they are definitely 2 star motels) because it is in season most are $249 a night. I have to drive 4 hours, haul all of my stuff up to my room, and then drive wherever I want to go. Or if I want to go to the island...

    Insanity Pricing Officially Reached

Actually, I just entered in a family of 4 on the Disney site, and you can get 5 nights at a value with tickets for $2528. So $5000 once you add in food is doable. I'm more offended by being charged $5.75 for an ice cream bar. Even if it is shaped like Mickey.

    Swan or French Quarter

I really dislike Caribbean Beach. It is the one resort I have stayed at that I left pretty darned sure I would never return. Massive resort. Too big to easily get around. I think staying at the Swan and Dolphin has me a bit spoiled. Besides being able to boat or walk right to Epcot and...
