I just booked a trip for after Thanksgiving (me + wife + toddler). We chose AoA over Pop because of the more Disney themed grounds/pools and the slightly bigger room but I am second guessing a bit. The rooms at Pop look much nicer and a preferred Pop room would not only be much closer to transit...

100% this. I know the lay of the land (or should I say world) and can read up on the latest offerings and logistics but still use a TA even though I don't need them to do everything. It's a nice, knowledgeable safety net.

Along the same lines, perhaps Discovery Cove. You get out of the Disney bubble but still pretty much remain in a vacation bubble outside of transit. You can spend the enjoying your resort or going to Disney Springs.

I have thought about this too. We would almost certainly reschedule since its our daughter's first time. The only real question with this line of thought is how would we handle something that came up during the trip.

Congratulations and thank you. Yes, it has been quite the journey. The initial diagnosis was not ideal but it was confined. Things got a lot more serious after it spread. Oddly enough, post surgery infections and the chemo side effects have been the roughest parts.

Interesting. We do have a spring break trip down to St. Augustine. Not as worried there because we are driving and splitting a place with my folks.

Little kids and parents happy to have an enclosed, confined, and air conditioned space to sit in to let said kids do their thing while taking a break.

I have assumed this was coming ever since the Splash news broke so not surprising if its legit. They might as well re-name and/or re-theme Frontierland at this point if this happens as the whole area will be a thematic mess. Honestly, they probably should've done it when they built Splash...

Thanks for the feedback. The current plan is to fly and stay at a Disney resort (probably Pop or AoA) Nov. 27 - Dec. 5 (exact days subject to change). 5 park days, 2 non-park days for things like pool, resort hopping, and Disney Springs, plus arrival day and departure day. I don't anticipate...

I am not much of a show person, especially if it is re-telling stories I already know, unless its done in a way thats really novel or technologically innovative. Would rather watch something like Mickey and the Magical Map or one of those orchestra concerts.

I think a lot of people wouldn't mind Genie+ nearly as much if they felt like it wasn't necessary to actually ride all the attractions you paid for with your ticket. I get the sense, however, that is not the case.

The funny thing is a lot of YouTube content is relatively low budget so if that is the type of stuff is popular, why not just emulate it to some degree? Low risk, high reward.
