It works most of the time.

After reading Ron Chernow’s delightful biography of George Washington and James McPherson’s Battle Cry of Freedom (re the Civil War) I’m very excited to see Washington and Lincoln speak. The only thing I regret them changing is removing Royal Dano as the voice of Lincoln.

The only thing that turns me a bit off from DL is just how crowded the park feels, even on slower days.

I’m shocked they’re actually going to run the parade twice a night instead of just once. Good job Disney!

Not happening. It does not have steering or bathrooms. It would need a major refit to fix that. The best we can hope for is using its new boiler and other machinery to revive the Mark Twain. The only thing that might prevent that are French tariffs.

If there is one potential good outcome from this whole mess it’s this: I hope they can use the parts from the Liberty Belle to restore the Mark Twain riverboat at Disneyland Paris to operation.

I took this picture of the show building of the BATB ride in TDL from the monorail. It is the small building in the center. The theater is to the left and Frozen in Fantasy Springs is to the right. IMO, WDW should be able to plop this somewhere.

No on both counts, unfortunately. What I’m hearing and what seems most likely is that she will be used for spare parts to support the other steamboats TWDC operates (TDR, DLR, DLP kind of). She does have a new boiler after all.

Even this scene is fun because of the dancing ride vehicles. They shift around, more so than even on Ratatouille.

Actually, if you expand your time horizons just a bit to remember ones Disney has cut, there are 5 attractions we are losing/have lost: Richard F Irvine (Liberty Belle), Admiral Joe Fowler, TSI, canoes, & keel boats.

Addition or another replacement?

We don’t have to like every change. That’s why we have a voice: to communicate. It’s healthy and fair to express criticism of changes. Not every change is for the better. Change for the sake of change is not good.

As much as some posters here would wish this attraction closed, Bob Iger and Trump met at the White House after the DL AD announcement where Trump touted the new park and gave it his blessing. Based off how important their relationship is to that new project, I highly doubt this show will close...

Of course it looks good but it looks too good. They should have tried to make it look more worn to fit the theme of an old mansion.

That should not take 6 months. That doesn’t mean it’ll reopen sooner, but that part alone does not seem difficult.

Could that low throughput on MU also be from demand? I do tend to notice that many of the ride vehicles go unfilled.

happy to report that the fish in the Atlantic restaurant are both swimming and glowing as of last Saturday 5/24! Very glad we got to experience the park with low wait times as the crowds have hit! I also got to ride Harry Potter and the Battle At the Ministry twice, which was almost unthinkable...
