Why's everyone love Disney theme parks and fondest memory

My reasons are very similar. I grew up watching the Wonderful World of Disney and of course loved the movies. As I reflect on them, I found them to be a safe have from my normally tumultuous childhood. It took me to a place that was happy and I needed that. We visited the "World" on a day trip...

    Worst Disney Vacation moment

I'm not sure, but since all the chairs and benches were moved and no one seemed upset about it, I figured moving the table was OK too.

    Worst Disney Vacation moment

When we were at WDW in June of 2003, the SpectroMagic parade was only running one night while we were there. It had been raining most of the day. I went to the Magic Kingdom about 3 hours before the scheduled start of the parade to hold down spots on the second floor of the train station. I...

Is that another one of those cryptic Disney abbreviations?

Has anyone used MouseEarVacations to book a trip?

Thanks for all the info. It will be a big help. Although I am somewhat of a micro manager, I have had trouble booking hard to get PS's (i.e. Cinderella's Breakfast) as I have to be at work by 7:00 AM which makes calling at that time difficult. :hammer: Also, I was hoping to have someone help...

Has anyone used MouseEarVacations to book a trip?

If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts, advice, insights, suggestions, etc. My family and I are planning a trip for next June and any help would be appreciated. (Also if anyone has used another similar service, please share that info too!) Some of my questions: Is there a fee for their...

In 2006, Animal Kingdom Guests Explore Legendary Shangri-La

All this time I though that was an original tune from '80's glam-ed out hair band Twisted Sister!

Disney Testing Metal Detectors, Screening Devices

The only people to blame for a terrorist attack are the terrorists. There can't always be a third party that you can blame (i.e. sue) for some zealot doing something crazy. Someone said earlier that if we live in fear, the terrorists have won. I agree. Loss of liberty frightens me much more...

    Confused about Disney's latest movies

Direct quote from a boy (about 10) overheard in the restroom after a showing of "Home on the Range": "That was the best movie I've ever seen" Also, my 6 year old son loved it. We must remember who Disney's target audience is.:)

Fess up...what are some of your traditions in planning?

One more here for the "sane" overplanners! I do most of the stuff mentioned here and one other that hasn't (I don't think). Any gift giving oppotunity will come with Disney Dollars. IE: Christmas - DD's in stocking; Birthday - DD's in card; Easter - DD's in basket; etc. You get the idea. I...

    Wilderness Lodge

We stayed at WL last summer. When planning the trip, we got a great rate there but my wife was very skeptical. She wanted luxury, not a log cabin. Well, after our stay she won't even consider staying elsewhere (and we honeymooned at the GF!). The WL is simply spectacular. The architecture alone...

    Buzz/Woody character meals

I could be wrong, but I don't think they do. I went last summer and looked for the same thing because they are also my son's favorites. We did get phots with them at Al's Toy Barn near Pizza Planet Restaraunt in MGM. We also saw Buzz outside of "his" ride in the Magic Kingdom.

    Tv Shows with WDW

On NYPD Blue (another ABC show), Andy Sipowicz took his son and his beautiful young girlfriend (Connie) to WDW. Although they never filmed there, they did mention it on several episodes.

I love Disney World, so should you!

I love WDW because for a one week vacation, I get to plan for 12+ months!:sohappy: .....which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO DO!!!! (I am somewhat of a "micro-manager") This allows me to think about the Magic on an almost daily basis!

    spectromagic crowds

If you plan on watching from the train station, go about three hours early (maybe more)! Last summer (yes it was very busy) I arrived at MK about two and a half hours before the parade to save a spot for my family. It was raining (of course) and people were three deep already under the roof of...

    package v. room only

In addition, the PHP tickets never expire whereas the Ultimate ends the last day of your stay. So, if for any reason you don't get to a park on one of the days, your pass will cover one day on your next trip whether it's in a week or ten years. The fact that ticket prices increase periodically...
