Re: Rides
After a long time. If they had never replaced anything, Disney still wouldn't be close to filling up the land they have.
I know, it's unfortunate this world is filled of people like that (the same kind who get confused over simple things like switching monorails).
One thing I don't understand is when a film is banned, people get upset & say things like "we should have the right to see the movie". Yet, the same isn't applied to rides. Why is that? Why does the movie fan have the right to see his/her favorite movie while the ride fan has to put up with...
I strongly disagree with SpongeScott. Just because there needs to be change doesn't mean they should rip out classic rides & throw them in dumpsters. The kind of change that should happen is things to improve rides (not trash rides) & expansion.
Yeah, it was replaced by Dreamflight which was replaced by Buzz Lightyear.
You are right, it is something that should be done.
Some names that people have suggested for a park like that are Yesterworld, Vault Disney, & Disney Historical Park.
Maybe they can add a Cinderella dark ride to it...
Walt didn't hate McDonald's & there was almost one made in Disneyland (in the 50's), so what's the big deal?
I'm just asking since people also claim that Walt hated MCdonalds, when he didn't.
They couldn't make Disney's America & if you compare the designs of Disney's America to California Adventure, it seems like they turned Disney's America into California Adventure.
The article mentions it...
Just out of curiousity, is there any evidence of this? I only recall Walt saying that he didn't like how dirty the carnivals were, not the concept of the carnival.
Paradise Pier was designed from a combination of old Californian carnivals.
Why should they let their Carnival tribute go to...
The article shows that they have been wanting to make something like Paradise Pier for some time & it's not something that they just made to save money.
If the changes were made because they made fun of corporations, then why was the preshow changed in a way that showed corporations in a much more negative light then the original version did?
