Restaurants we JUST HAVE TO eat at EVERY trip!!!

For us it is Yak & Yeti, Tokyo Dining, and the Biergarten. We want to branch out and try some new restaurants this year, but we are having a hard time finding ones we haven't eaten at.

    Taste of Hollywood to Go

I haven't done it, but I have seen people eating the dinners. The boxes just looked OK. Standard box meals I would say. The seating is the same as the F! dinner packages.

Old hands looking for some new restaurants

I like this thread. My family is also looking for some new places to eat. I might have to steal your list, as we have only eaten at one of those restaurants. We eat at Yak and Yeti every year. They have decent Asian food, which we all love. The fried green beans are our favorite appetizer...

Best Table Service Dining Options for Disney Dining Plan???

For me, the only restaurants that are worth using 2 meals are the California Grill and the Spirit of Aloha. California Grill has really good food, and you can watch the fireworks from the balcony up there regardless of the time that you eat. All you have to do is bring your receipt back. The...

    Magic Kingdom Memories.

People told me I was crazy for taking my 3 month old daughter to WDW. All she had to do was smile at the pretty colors on Small World and coo on the Dumbos for it to be completely worthwhile. Best trip we have ever taken (out of 30+ trips).

    80 degree Christmas?

I grew up in Indiana. My husband grew up in Florida. It is 100% wrong to see palm trees with Christmas lights on them. I will never get used to being able to walk around in my shorts (and 60 degrees is short weather for us northern people) and hear Christmas carols. It's just wrong.

Touring with our 3 month old

I wouldn't recommend toy story mania. The ride does whip you around a lot between scenes. I just hugged my Nora close during those times, supported the back of her head with my hand, and it was OK. The rest of it was just awkward. The gun is attached to the safety restraint and ends up being...

Touring with our 3 month old

I feel like I might have written your question. I just took my daughter Nora (my first child) to Disney when she was 13 weeks old in September. Definitely do the baby backpack/stroller combination. Try a Chicco Liteway stroller. It is kind of expensive, but worth it! It is like a beefed-up...

    How young of a baby

We just took our daughter in September. She hit 3 months old while we were there. It was an incredibly fun trip, and I would recommend it. You definitely don't get to go on as many rides, but you will get to see new parts of the parks. The baby care centers are awesome. We took her in those...

    Major Dilemma.....I need help!!!

You can check to see if there are still reservations available and have your friends make new ones. Then you can cancel your reservations. As long as you aren't trying to go to Le Cellier, there will probably be reservations available. I was able to make them for New Year's Eve only 2 weeks...

The goofy ways that WDW has changed your life

I love the smell thing! I drive people nuts, because I think everything smells like a ride.

The goofy ways that WDW has changed your life

I have been going to WDW since I was a year old, so I have grown up with Disney. My husband is a different story. I ended up marrying a guy from central Florida who hated "the rat." After 8 years of marriage and 8 vacations, he is now telling me how many days we have left until our next trip...

    Adult Beverage Question

There is also a bar off of the lobby that has a piano player at night (think sing-a-long piano bar). We had a blast the night we went. And definitely hit up the gift shop for in room beverages. Trash cans make great large ice buckets.

Advice for a "Magical" vacation with Fiance`

As far as I know, the 1-bedroom villas are the only place that you can get a jacuzzi tub. They have those at almost all of the deluxe resorts, and they all look pretty similar regardless of where you stay. It kind of comes down to location. The Saratoga Springs Villas are close to Downtown...

    Surprising wife

I think the surprise idea is awesome! I haven't been on a disney cruise yet, but based on the other cruises I have been on, it would be really difficult to hold off the surprise until she sees the boat. I'm pretty sure it a completely separate bus to get to the cruise line, probably with a...

    Help!

We always go in September. The crowds are lighter, it is not as hot as the summer, but it is still hot enough for swimming. The last time we went in February, we hit a freak cold spell. It was only in the 50's while we were there. I wore the same red Mickey fleece everyday, because I didn't...

    How bad would it be?

Ha! Epcot is where we started for NYE. It got so crowded that we ended up back at the Polynesian. We hung out at the pool bar and watched the MK fireworks from there. Great way to do it!

    Lap pools

At the Yacht and Beach Club, there is a pool that could work. Part of the main pool is a pool that is like a small lazy river. It is round with an island in the middle, deep (>6 ft), and has a slight current. They wouldn't be able to swim laps and practice turns, but swimming in circles...

Disney Travelers That Don't Plan...Come Forth!!

I will start this by saying that I understand planning if you might only get to do WDW once or twice in your life, but hallelujah! I'm excited that there are other people that don't plan. I am lucky enough to have been going to WDW since I was 3 (and I am now 33), and the only things we ever...
