..the doors are tied to the shuttle platform rotation. If the platform is not ready to load, the ITS doors won;t open and the briefing room doors are supposed to stay closed as well.

From a CM working the ride at DHS - there were actually only 2 breakdowns yesterday despite what the bloggers say. Most of the breakdowns seem to happen after the ITS shuttle. I've heard the issues seem to be with the elevators/lifts - both AT-AT and Escape pod areas.
