Considering how some guests react when they can’t get 4 drinks by themselves or when their Canadian drivers license isn’t a valid ID, I will not be surprised if there are incidents of violence in the parks.

Agreed. It's insane to think that people think Disney's going to take on the responsibility of medical records. I'm no lawyer but I read enough /r/legaladvice to know that medical laws are incredibly strict (as they should be!)

    Worth the hype?/Unpopular Opinion

As a broke CP my go-to meal in MK was Pecos Bill’s kid’s rice and bean bowl with whatever meat I’m feeling that day. Pretty good, and I’d load up on the toppings. I thought Docking Bay 7 was meh. I got the chicken and mashed potatoes. Decent, I suppose, but not worth the price imo.

Honestly having Onward and Soul come out close together seemed odd to me. I don’t know why but seeing Pixar movies in the winter just feels more like an event. Also lost power early this morning. Have no clue when it’ll be back on. I know there are bigger problems, but damn I want it back on...

Having slept on this, I realize this is more complex than my initial reaction. I definitely don’t blame the bus driver for calling the cops- if the man refused to comply I would have done the same thing. I’d like to know more details on the situation- was the immediate reaction to remove him...

Thank you for explaining this. For the sake of my CM friends I hope their raises still go through.

Can you elaborate on how renegotiation works? Certainly Disney doesn't have the power to just up and say "we're renegotiating"? Wouldn't the union have to agree as well?

Entirely possible. I'm unfamiliar with the process, so I can't say, but wouldn't they have to reapply for their visa again anyway if the dates are pushed back to August?

This is disgusting. Why couldn't they have just GIVEN HIM A MASK?

I agree with you. You said a few posts ago it'd be easy to defer May/June ICP arrivals to a later date. I was just saying that they might have to reapply so everything is right in Disney's system.

Since Disney sent home everyone in the Cultural Representative program, they're going to have to start from scratch. Granted, they likely won't need as many people, but they might need more than were coming in May/June. It's a rotating cast with people steadily leaving/coming in. Even if they...

Haha. It got pretty crazy at my location, but I enjoyed the fast pace. Made the time go by fast. Also, I forgot to mention that during peak times, we'd have a CM on the other side of the MO counter to help distribute orders, so that might become more common.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "pay the bare minimum"? Maybe for CPs, but IIRC they just bumped up the base pay for CPs to $12/hr, but I could be wrong. Reducing pay after just increasing it would be bad PR. Also, they just made a deal with the union that included paying for programs such...

Maybe add more tables? Again not a perfect solution. But if Epcot is open then, they simply make too much money to not have F&W. Not saying I’m for or against it. Personally I enjoy the festivals and people-watching, though I do find it sad that people feel the need to get absolutely wasted...

It’s definitely not a perfect solution. Plexiglass between the guest and CM might help, though? And no matter what, you’ll have the issue of people standing around while they wait for food.

If they have F&W, they could make it mobile order only.

For better or worse, Disney is a much bigger beast than it was when it opened. It costs much more to run nowadays and I'm sure they're way more dependent on international travelers than they used to be in order to keep it running. I definitely think they're going to have to cater to US visitors...

I mean, for my CP (not ICP, granted) it was all over the phone. I never met with Disney in person before I got my job offer.

I wonder if exemptions can be made since they will not be shortly returning to their home country. On a wider scale, though, I can't see Disney opening without international travelers. They make up so much of the people that visit.
