Is this too many late nights with kids?

You will know your kids and the rest of the family, and when they need a rest, leave early, or sleep in the next day to recover. The one thing we always say is that , I guess that we will just have to make another trip back, if we can't do everything.

    Been A Long Long Time

Welcome, and yes you still have time! If you know where you want to stay and for how long you can make your reservations soon, and if discounts come out you should be able to call up and make changes and save some extra money.

What food do you bring with you??

We drive so we can bring cold items, and mainly we bring breakfast foods, and snacks. I usually (okay always) bring some beer, so that saves some cash, and we also bring water and some diet coke and Pepsi. For breakfast we have been bringing the frozen sausage biscuits. I walk over to the food...

    Surge pricing

I could see Disney doing it with one day tickets, such as weekends and hoildays are a few dollars more than M-F. The same could be done with parking, a few more dollars for weekends and holidays than Monday - Friday.

    October Break for Mid-Western States?

Living in Georgia our local Gwinnett schools have almost always had a 3 day weekend around Columbus Day, and sometimes a 4 day weekend. We did a trip once during that time and it was more crowded than we had hoped. Being a long weekend with the Epcot Food and Wine ongoing, Epcot was crowded, and...

    Solo day trip to MK?

Sure why not, what else would you do, sit in the room at stare at the TV. Last year I was in Orlando for a training class and made two trips in the evening after class for a quick trip. I was even able to hit AK on my way home, it was out of the way, but I needed to get something for my wife...

adding to your theme park tickets

If your planing to go only one day, it will be less expensive to just buy the one day ticket at which ever water park you go to. Walk up tickets are $58 + tax, for folks aged 9+($50 for those 3-9), while adding the water park option is $64 for each ticket. So you can save if you only go one day...

    AP Question

It only takes one person with a pass to get the discount on a room, the rest of the family could get regular tickets. We have done this in the past with no issues.

Thoughts/Advice on a couple sets of dates?

October can be hot and don't forget that it is still hurricane season, as I'm sure you are aware. Our hottest trip ever was in October one year, with highs in the mid 90's and the crowd level was higher than we had hoped. I understand not wanting to wait the extra months as I would like to go...

    AP and check in

We had five trips on our last pass, and never did they ask to see the pass. They do ask to see the card when getting the 10% discount in stores, so carry it with you into the parks, they need more than the band. Our first trip on the pass we had not even gotten the passes before we checked in...

Back to WDW -- May 2016

Just back from POFQ less than two weeks ago, it was great, you will enjoy your stay. We enjoy the small feel of the resort, but enjoyed the boats to DS, and bus service was very good for us.

Resort alarm clocks being replaced by USB/Power hubs?

I once stayed at a hotel and asked for a wake up call when checking in, the clerk handed me a wind up alarm clock. I've been using my phone for the past few years for waking, but I do like being able see what time it is if I wake during the night. It's not real easy if my phone is across the...

    First kid free trip!

We did our first trip last December, and it was great. At times it felt strange not having the kids, but it passed as quick as it came. We have done two more trips since then, and are taking our third starting the day after you leave. Have fun and enjoy the time as a couple, and Happy Anniversary!!

    MK itinerary too ambitious???

I think that it is ambitious especially day 1 at MK. Your starting early, needing to get to the bus stop to get to the Magic Kingdom in time for a 8am breakfast. For fast passes you will only be able to have one FP in each hour window, such as from 10:05 to 11:05, then the earliest your next...

Very late plan to visit for a few days for my Annv.

How about a horse drawn carriage ride. They are at Port Orleans and would be a nice way to spend part of an evening? I plan on booking one for our anniversary trip coming up in November. Another idea is that MNSSHP is on the 6th, you could buy a ticket to the party, and that morning buy a...

    Trip Club December 2015

Okay we are booked for December 9-13 at Coronado Springs! This will be our third trip to CSR this year and hope to get back to building 8B, which works the best for us. Not sure if my wife can get off for that period (I guess I should check also), but I think she would like one last fling before...

    Plans Have Changed

Have you thought about getting APs? going in early December this year, then late November in 2016 you could maybe save some money. The room discounts for APs are good when they are available, you have the option to get the Tables in Wonderland card for meal discounts. Not sure if this will work...
