    Last Minute Questions

Another option or two with the bus is to take the first bus going to a park, then go to the bus stop for Wilderness Lodge. Or ride the bus to the Magic Kingdom, walk over to the Contemporary, the the boat from the Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge. This last option might take the longest time...

    Worthwhile bars

Back in May me and my wife hit the bars at the Monorail resorts. Trader Sams was good as always, and we had a good time at the Outer Rim. We thought next time we would add Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.

EPCOT Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

It was going to happen, not happy its going away. I would hope that they will keep the "blowing out the flames" before the start in some form or fashion. I guess this Christmas I'll have to see it twice, as a repeat in 2019 will be off the table.

    Fuel rods, any good? Cost?

I've got one that I purchased in Disneyland, and is working fine, I usually just end up charging it myself. It was $30 same as WDW. My daughter has one that she swaps all the time it it works fine for her (uses her phone much more than me).

    SunPass Transponders

We have one of the mini ones that you stick to the windshield and it has been working fine since 2011. We took it off the van and put it on my truck for a few months back in the winter of 2017, then stuck it back on the van that May. The main thing is to go to your account and make sure to...

    Height Restrictions

The ride with that has the largest height restriction of 54 inches is Tomorrowland Speedway, for drivers. The reason is that less than 54", reaching the pedals becomes difficult.

    Packing snacks for the park/plane

I will usually take zip-lock bags with any snacks into the parks and have had no issues. I like zip-locks because after I've eaten the snack I can either toss them in the trash, or return them to my pack for reuse later. I've flown several times in the last two months flying out of Atlanta and...

    December Which Park

I would say Epcot, many of the different countries have special Christmas storytellers that your kids might like. The Norway show with Sigrid and Julenissen is very fun, as well as Father Christmas at the UK pavilion.

8 nights MYW package with DP or 1 hotel night only + 7 nights MYW with DP ?

We have always gone room only, and purchased tickets separate. When booking room only, cancellation policy is 5 days in advance, vs longer for the package. Every time I check to see if the cost of the dining plan would be a savings for us, it doesn't work for our way of dining.

News Speedier Wi-Fi at Port Orleans French Quarter

Glad to hear about upgrading, hopefully that will mean better performance, and faster. Remember that not many years ago (around 2011) that Disney starting offering WIFI in the rooms, compared to most hotels. As no one will every complain about the internet being too fast, I'll be happy with any...

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

Speedway is a ride that the youngsters and tweens seem to really like. I remember when my kids were not yet teenagers and they really enjoyed riding the speedway, it gave them a chance to drive, with no one with them. Check the wait time on the app and see where the wait for Speedway is, it...

    Weather in December

It can be cool too cold, or warm too cool. I would check a ten day forecast before you leave and that should help. I would at least have a light coat that could double as a rain/wind jacket. I've been in December when its in the 40's and also when it's almost 80, so every year can be different.

To launder or not to launder...

If we are staying about a week or a bit more, I'll do laundry. We also drive and bring a laundry basket for extra shoes, and other smaller items. The laundry basket becomes our dirty cloths basket, then if I do laundry I've got a basket. We take an afternoon break most days, so when we come back...

    Day Bag

We will bring a couple of frozen bottles of water, wrapped in a towel with a couple of non frozen water. By the time the afternoon arrives the frozen bottles have mostly thawed, and are ready to drink. I also carry a 8X8 zip-lock with band-aids, individual packs of Advil, Bio-freeze, etc...

    Water park shoes question!

Like others I recommend wearing something on your feet, the concrete can/will be hot. As your feet get wet the skin gets a bit softer and the concrete will also make the bottoms sore. A bit of a warning is to make sure to put sunscreen on the tops of your feet, trying to walk with the tops of...

Does cost affect your enjoyment of your meal?

One of the things that we do is to eat a lunch or two each trip as our big meal of the day. I'm not usually having buyers remorse when we get the bill, if I think about what we are paying to sleep each night it doesn't seem so bad.
