The Void VR Experience at Disney Springs

About 30 minutes total (the VR game part is about 15 minutes). Okay, that would be awesome!

The Void VR Experience at Disney Springs

My husband and I have played it twice. It's very fun and immersive. The actual playing experience is 15 minutes long (but the total time you're there is longer due to instructions, suiting up, etc.). I hope they add new missions later on, if possible. There is a Ghostbusters-themed one in NY, as...

    New Hire Questions!

Hi Sara, Congratulations on your job offer with Disney! 1) H/H = Host/Hostess :) 2) I don't know if Disney helps with relocating or finding housing. However I would check out the "Disney World Cast Member Apartment/Roommate Finder" group on FB. This may give you some ideas on housing around...

    Switching from full-time to part-time?

I would speak with your manager. :)

    Crystal River Manatees

Yes, Crystal River is a great place to see manatees right now. The colder it is, the better chance you have of seeing them. Blue Springs State Park is also a great place to see manatees when it is cold. We went stand-up paddleboarding over there on a chilly day and saw a good number of them.

    I want to be tinkerbell

Hi @Tinkerfanatic! Welcome to the forums. I would say go ahead and audition when you see them available on the auditions website. Just because your height is outside of their desired height range doesn't mean you should automatically dismiss the possibility. :) Disney can measure you...

Normal wait times at Sea World?

I think you'd be okay without Quick Queue. That is the first day/weekend of Spooktacular, however, so the park itself may be crowded, but I've found that for that event, the crowds are bigger on the Bayside pathway/Happy Harbor area of the park. I wouldn't think the rides would be affected a...

    Face Character Auditions

I would still go and audition. :) It never hurts to try! Face characters have to do fur characters as well. You are at a great height for some popular fur characters. As far as face characters that are shorter, I would think that Tinkerbell and friends might be the closest I can think of.

    Disney Character Performer Audition Questions

They can measure you up or down, depending on what their needs are. My true height is 5'1" and WDW measured me at 60.5 inches, half an inch down.

Normal wait times at Sea World?

I would get to the park at park opening (9:00 AM) and hit up the rides then. Being that it's Saturday in July, the waits may be long. The longest wait time for a ride will probably be Kraken Unleashed, which was just redone with virtual reality, and it has a slow load time. See if you can wait...

    Volcano Bay

I think they should have a lot of kinks worked out by then. I don't know about the park being complete, but maybe it'll be closer to what they envisioned when they announced the park? They are making improvements every week, from what I can see. And yes, I would say anytime after August 20th...

    Volcano Bay

The park hit Phase 3 capacity this morning. Around 1:45, the park was at Phase 2 capacity (only resort guests allowed). Then again, it's summer and kind of a holiday weekend.

    Part-time Questions (WDW)

Hi Samantha! Unless things have changed, you should be able to pick up more shifts. WDW is one of the only theme parks in the area that is okay with giving over time pay. You should also be able to put your name on a list to go full-time. Talk with your manager about your interest. Congratulations!

    Dolphin interaction

Unless things have changed, you are correct in that you do now pay extra to touch the dolphins. I don't remember feeding them, but our interaction involved doing behaviors (more commonly known as "tricks") with them, using hand signals. :)

    Bags on rides

They are more like Universal, except the lockers are not free. I believe the ones at the rides are about $1. They also have little "cubbies" (for lack of a better word) right near the load platform where you can keep stuff like hats, glasses, cups, etc. that are unsecured. They may make you...

    Name tag rules?

Yeah, I agree with @CaptainAmerica. Do it off property, just to be on the safe side. :)

    Name tag rules?

Hi Amanda! Since you're allowed to keep your name tag(s) after you leave the company, I don't think that would be a problem at all. I've seen pictures of people's name tags, and I've taken some of mine myself and posted them. Cute idea for a picture!

    Discovery Cove in December

We went to Discovery Cove on January 29th of this year, and it happened to be one of the coldest weekends that month. We decided to keep our original plans. It was very cold that day, but on the plus side, the park seemed empty. :) They did have portable heaters around the park. They do keep the...

Oooh, cool! I am curious - how is this different than Brain Wash (from WnW)?

    Volcano Bay

No solid opening date yet. It will be in the early summer of 2017. I've heard reports of it being open by at least June 1st, I believe (maybe it was the Sentinel that reported it? It was a little while ago). But it is not official. Perhaps someone can chime in. :) Hehe, @JoeCamel and I were...
