I find the wifi in the rooms slow but still usable for when I do need it. The parks do seem to be faster for me.

I'd vote for the lodge, if the both of you are outdoorsy, you will love it. Even if you aren't the atmosphere is great.

I think you need to rethink the DP and 7 day parks, if she is too much right now, can you imagine 7 days at the parks? I'd suggest 2 or 3 days, then maybe a day at the waterpark and the rest relaxing by the pool, if possible?? My son was probably very similar to yours when we took him at 3, he...

We made that mistake one year, I ended up tying it to my backpack and leaving it outside by the strollers for each ride we all went on. It was a pain and now just get them on the way out.

Just try to go to the parks first thing in the morning, head back to the rooms for the pool/rest early afternoon and then back for late afternoon/evening to finish. This is how we managed the heat. Crowds, there's not much to do about them but make sure you use the fast passes as much as possible.

We usually drive so we arrive mid to late afternoon. Most of the time we go to DTD and start with a sandwich from Earl's then go back for a swim.
