    October weather

We used to go in October all the time, until the kid got involved in sports and too old to take out of school. The weather was alwys great, warm days/lovely evenings, went swimming eveyday. I loved being there with all the Brits. They are a fun bunch to be in the park with (and in the...

Who have ever been to DLP ?

We went this past June as part of a trip to London and Paris. We loved it. the castle and Main Street are especially beautiful. The rides are all good, in some cases better than thier USA counterparts. They need a couple more e-tickets, a Splash Mountain or something like it, maybe an Indiana...

    Honeymoon Perks

We didn't get anything with our honeymoon. And Epcot, MGM, and AKL were all closed along with BB and TL. Of course it was 1980 and none of those were built yet. We did get a free picture during dinner at the Hyatt (now gone). It was magical just the same, although WDW was only a...

    Ratatouille Roller Coaster

We did Disney Paris this year for the first time (I haven't had time to write the trip report yet), Crushes coaster is fun however the version in Paris is not high volume enough for Orlando. They will need to consider a 2 track system or something. The spinning cars hold 4 riders, and the...

    Close DLP? Whaddya think?

Keep Investing We just returned from our first ever experience at DLP. While the crowds were low on our first day (a Thursday) on Friday it picked up considerably and on Saturday the place was packed. Ride lines were long and our hotel (Newport) seemed full. There were families there from all...

    New Rides at MGM?

Crushes Coaster We just got back from our first ever trip to DLP (trip report coming soon). We rode Crushes Coaster, it was a blast. Indoor/spinning coaster, decent themeing. It is actually in the WD Studios park of DLP. It would work well at Disney MGM. Although it has a fairly small...

First trip to Disneyland TRIP REPORT

We just returned from our second trip to DLR and have also been to WDW many times. If you ever had any reservations about the experience you would have at DRL, put them aside and go. This is a wonderful park and well worth the vaca time. I also like DCA as well but Disneyland is an experience...

    Polynesian or Wildernesss Lodge??

One more thing. The Christmas decors should be up at WL during your trip. You have to see it, the lobby tree is beautiful. WL is my personal favorite and we stay there at least a few nights every trip, but we love Poly as well. We have split trips in the past between these two resorts. Both...

    Polynesian or Wildernesss Lodge??

You can't go wrong either way. However, as a long term resort hopper, I suggest you experience the best of both. Split the week, start at Poly and end at WL and double up on the great memories. Disney makes it very easy to switch and I'm sure you'll love it.

    Who remembers 1985??

Great thread. We first went in 1980, on our honeymoon. MK was the only park. Contemporary and Poly were the only resorts. We thought MK was amazing. This was the time of ticket books, A-E, we had to buy a few extra E tickets. 20k was a very cool ride, although hot inside the subs. T-Land had...

Transfer luggage to 2nd resort w/o us?

We are resort jumpers and do this all the time. As stated, just check them withthe bell hop in your room, tell that person to transfer to next destination, and it will get there about mid afternoon. we've done it many times and never had a problem.

Extra Magic Hours on Dec. 30

We were at WDW over New Years weekend. On Friday 12/30, Extra Magic Hours for MK were until 4:00 AM. I had never seen MK open this late before and I'm curious if anybody on these boards was in the park that late on that night and if so how was the crowd? The park reopened at 7:00 AM the next...

    Just returned, 6/1-6/12 trip

Hi All, Just got back from the Smee family biannual trip, 11 nights at WDW. Spent 4 nights at AKL, 3 at Beach Club, and the final 4 at WL. Used up a 7 day park hopper and went to Universal, Busch Gardens, and Discovery Cove as well. I'll do a more detailed report but first these observations...
