Yes. Guests of POR and POFQ are welcome to use the pools, restaurants both TS and QS, bars/lounges, buses, boats, etc. of either resort. As a pp mentioned, there is a lovely walking path along the river that connects the resorts.
Going in July it will be HOT with rain showers many days. The skyliner will shut down during times of lightening and it can be a very long wait for Disney to get the buses going for the affected resorts. (Pop, AoA, CBR and Riv) CBR is also a very large, spread out resort with lots of walking...
Since memories can fade and I do not want to misrepresent my experience all these months later, I have copied my post from another website that I completed just after we returned from our trip. Yes, it is LONG(sorry about that) but I felt (and still feel) it was important for other families with...
So you are discounting our experience because you have never come across poor staff at a restaurant on WDW property? Firstly, Yak & Yeti is not a Disney owned and operated restaurant. I knew this going into the reservation but had read such high reviews we decided to give it a try. On a...
Gonna have to disagree with previous posters regarding food allergies. We tried this place for the first time back in January and their lack of concern with my DD22's food allergies was appalling. I suspect gluten is the only allergy they are trained to handle given they only have a gluten...
I am surprised this Cake Bake Shop is going in on the BW. IDK....just doesn't fit to me. Seems it would be a better fit for the GF although given it's a third party arrangement I don't know where it would go there either. I don't think the BW needs another TS restaurant. It desperately needs...
IMO, the Boardwalk doesn't need another TS. It needs a proper QS. I wish they would remove Big River Grill and make that a QS. It could serve a plated hot breakfast which is sorely missing in this area. Lunch and dinner with burgers, philly cheesesteaks, bucket of boiled shrimp, fried...
I am so excited for this!! DH and I watch her on Food Network and have always wanted to try her dishes. I hear her restaurants in Nashville are highly rated. I wonder if she will bring her famous take on the Nashville hot chicken to DS??
Yes. The 5th sleeper rooms can be found in all villages at CBR. Trinidad, however, is the only village that has the Little Mermaid 5th sleeper rooms. All other villages have the older style 5th sleeper rooms with 2 dedicated queen beds and the pull down 5th sleeper under the TV.
The club lounge in Sugar Loaf was indeed removed. I have seen pictures and confirmation of this on another website. Sugar Loaf will no longer be club level accommodations.
FWIW, all of the outer building refurbs are now complete. The refurb on the main building was set to begin June 1.
For the same price, I would switch to YC. I really enjoy sitting out on the balcony and BC has a low percentage of rooms with a full balcony. YC has a better QS for breakfast, IMO. The rooms have underbed storage for suitcases, shoes where BC still has the older style beds. YC is also the...
I make this every year for New Years and several times during the year as well because it's SO GOOD!!!! I make hoppin' John and collard greens. The hoppin' John is for good luck and the greens are for money in the new year.
I grew up in SC and yes, it's a tradition especially if anyone in...
please, Please, PLEASE......let these changes take affect before my trip starting Jan 26!!! I really despise both the park reservations and the hopping after 2pm.
Since you aren't planning a lot of park time but MK is a definite, I would choose GF for several reasons.
-With a stroller, the monorail or walking to MK is a huge plus being able to leave him in the stroller for comfort and a feeling of security if he is sensitive to crowds and noise cannot be...
Pirate rooms are in Trinidad. It will be interesting to see if those rooms will be themed differently or the same as the rest of the resort. OR....if they will give them some new configurations into family suites to entice more bookings into an area that is notoriously hard to book given its...
All signs point to remodel of the CBR rooms. I noticed all of the Trinidad buildings have permits expiring 4/30/23. The first permit outside Trinidad, for Martinique building 24, expires 09/01/23.
First time poster, long time lurker......
This is so true. It reminds me of the saying "A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part." (and this is true in so many areas of life....)
People have different vacation styles. You have the folks who use a travel...
