    18th Birthday meal

Happy Birthday!! ☺ My runner up for dream birthday in Disney would be Le Cellier. But my top pick would be Be Our Guest! (The lamb was excellent!) After dinner at BOG, you can go on a few rides before the fireworks!

Which WDW Attraction Do You Want To Close?

Stitch is really a waste of space. Such a heartfelt, funny movie deserves a better attraction. My vote was Figment. Get out, Figment. I'm curious as to why Kali River Rapids is listed with the undesirables. Same with Great Movie Ride. It definitely could use some updates, but it still has the...

    Atkins-type diet options at WDW?

To start, I've been low carbing off and on since my early teens (maybe not the best time to start, though!) So I've gotten pretty good at this. I'm pretty sure at least most quick service places have a grilled chicken salad. If not, go for a burger or grilled chicken sandwich and remove the...

Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

Removing the joke from Jungle Cruise was the right thing to do. The joke wasn't exceptionally funny or even memorable. I rode it (twice) five months ago, and an untold amount of times before that. And I didn't remember it until it was brought up. It won't be missed. Even keeping Louis the...

    Your favorite park to visit?

I voted Magic Kingdom, because magic, but I really love all of them so much!!! My second pick would probably be Animal Kingdom.

    Upgrading to a deluxe question.

Wilderness Lodge is SO pretty at Christmas time! I would definitely recommend it no matter what, but especially at this time of year. Last trip, we had some financial cut backs, and stayed at Art of Animation. It was very nice and we were all happy to be there. But we felt the difference...

    whats your favorite disney song

Circle of Life. The entire opening sequence is so beautiful, and the way the movie begins and ends the same way drives home the point. It's about family, love and the beauty of nature. I get chills every time I hear the first notes!

Great Movie Ride: What film scenes would you add?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Movie_Ride Using this for reference. I have no idea how Tangled is in the montage, but not Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. I like Tangled and all, but those were two of Disney's biggest hits. The ballroom scene and Rafiki holding Simba over Pride...

So... how carried away do you get with your WDW trip planning?

I personally have an intense love for Excel, and so I can fully appreciate the spreadsheet! Even before FastPass+, my mom would make daily itineraries with the rides listed in order, and scheduled in the approximate wait times. I know she used a website for this, but I dont remember what it was.

I would also recommend a setting powder or spray. I love the spray from Urban Decay. It's pricey, but at Ulta they usually have travel sized bottles, if you don't want to commit to the full one.

What's the best WDW secret you know?

Not really a secret, but I like watching the Audio Animatronics during the Hall of Presidents when their name isn't being called. They kind of interact with each other. Like how after Chester A. Arthur is called, James A. Garfield reaches up and pats him on the shoulder.

    Which WDW rides are "untouchable"

I think most of the Fantasyland rides are safe, for the time being. I think the major change that will be made in the years to come is refurbishing the queue areas, like they have on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo, so that the lines are more amusing for children. One of the...

What in WDW do you love?

Another great thing is the general camaraderie among guests. Now there are plenty of nasties there (just like in the real world) but I've also seen and been part of plenty of instances where people are kind to strangers, and much more friendly than I'm used to. I love seeing that.

Thinking of driving down with an infant. Crazy?

I'm in Ocean County! Not entirely sure on the gas. I always go with my family (parents and two younger siblings) so the gas buying is on Dad! If I was to guess, it would be $250- $300 round trip? We take the 10 year old minivan. It also depends on gas prices, etc. Still cheaper than flights for 5!

    Hair bands on Everest

I saw it as kind of a "throwing pennies in a fountain" type of thing. Like leaving your mark. It's dumb though, and inconsiderate to the CMs who have to clean it up. It looks tacky and distracting, especially since you're paused there for a minute. Also, I always find myself without a hair tie...

    Guest/CM Interaction

I've never seen a CM being rude before, but I've seen plenty of very rude, entitled guests treating them horribly. The closest thing to a CM being rude to me that I can think of is them just not being overly friendly at times, which I get. I'm sure it's an exhausting and demanding job, and I'm...

What in WDW do you love?

    1) Accessibility. The way the company goes out of their way to accommodate disabled guests so they can enjoy the parks in a way that they otherwise would not be able to. 2) The way I listen to wdw park music on youtube while I do housework. Main street songs, ride soundtracks, etc. Always puts...

Thinking of driving down with an infant. Crazy?

I'm also from NJ, and we've always driven! My little sister's first road trip to WDW was when she was 18 mos old. Whichever one of our parents wasn't driving sat next to her. We had plenty of snacks, toys and a tv in the minivan. We stopped more often for her to be changed and just held for...
