What attraction quotes do you use in everyday life?

Sometimes when we get into the car, my brother does the "keep you hand, arms, etc in the vehicle at all times" bit!

    Results of horrible weather

Last time we were there, we really lucked out with weather. But on our last MK day (we usually do two!) it downpoured all morning! We had breakfast reservations at Crystal Palace, but when we got to the park, we were selected for the random extra security check (my dad was selected 3 times over...

Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

How sad. But it really does kind of reinforce that the CMs (as a whole) are great people, who want to do well and give the guests a wonderful experience. Not because they get so much money or recognition, but because they love Disney. And the upper management at Disney needs to be worthy of that...

DHS PizzeRizzo announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios - Was: Rumor: Pizza Planet/Mama Melrose closing?

I would like for them to make a better Pizza Planet that actually honored the movie more. But also, how many pizza places does HS need? I get that there are like a million places that serve chicken tenders and cheeseburgers throughout the parks, but those are usually bigger sellers than pizza in...

Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

I'm glad the CM got her job back and is able to finish her time there. She clearly values the health and safety of guests more than her managers.

Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

This is no worse than the thousands of pictures taken inside the shark at the Seas with Nemo and Friends. The alligator incident was awful, but the walking on eggshells around all alligator characters will soon end. It actually seems like it already has slowed down a lot.

    Characters in flight

It was a very steady ride! I went with my mom and brother (who is fearless) not long after it opened, and it was very nice and I don't really remember it being rough at all.

    What land would you make???

I can definitely appreciate the nostalgia of the ride, but I think at the very least it needs a reboot, or to find a home where it fits with the theme better. I also feel like it's kind of unsafe with the ever present possibility of someone bumping into another car, especially while the person...

Big update to My Disney Experience app will bring navigation capability

I agree about the bus ETA, but maybe they're holding off because sometimes the buses don't go as scheduled. If there is an accident to avoid, a wheelchair to load/unload, etc that can cause delays. Most people would probably be fine with it, but there would be some who would get nasty with the...

    What land would you make???

I am definitely a proponent of fixing up the lands we already have before creating new ones! ;) Tomorrowland is on the top of that list. I agree that the classics should be preserved, because much of it was Walt's own creation. But our idea of tomorrow is vastly different, so it might be a good...

Am I the only one who doesn't like how all the current lands being built each focus on 1 franchise?

Laugh Floor definitely should have been in HS from the beginning. It even fits the whole "show business" genre. However, it might also be complicated deciding what would stay where it is, and what belongs in the hypothetical pixar-land. It's Tough to be a Bug seems fine where it is, for example.

Am I the only one who doesn't like how all the current lands being built each focus on 1 franchise?

I'm not sure how I would feel about "Lucas-Land" or something, but I think Star Wars Land will turn out fine. Star Wars has just as much of a draw and following now as it has for nearly 40 years, and it has enough content to support an entire land. As far as Toy Story Land goes, I agree that I...

Deaf girl's dreams come true when Tinkerbell talks to her with sign language

True, I did make that assumption, also based on Minnie Mouse being able to sign as well. But what are the odds of your average 19-24 year old just happening to know sign language, AND being able to pass the rigorous requirements to be a face character? I would be willing to bet the parents...

Deaf girl's dreams come true when Tinkerbell talks to her with sign language

Also, I'm going out on a limb to assume that the CM's who can sign are paid extra for that special skill? (If not, they should be!)

Deaf girl's dreams come true when Tinkerbell talks to her with sign language

I love this place! This brought tears to my eyes, and made me remember what makes Disney so special. Disney is absolutely a business, and as such the goal is to be profitable. But it's also something so much more. To make sure there were CMs who could sign WHILE in costume so that this little...

Pokemon Go at the Disney Parks

As the only 90s kid that actually DISLIKED Pokemon, I'm sure the hubbub will all be over soon. And the last thing we need in WDW is another distraction from people watching where they're walking. Excuse me as I return to my retirement home :)

    Am i the only one?

I enjoyed it! I know a lot of people would rather be on a ride or something but I think there is some value to having some nice spots to sit in a climate controlled area and leisurely watch a show. Yes, we could watch the shorts online or on dvd. But we could also watch most of the rides and...

Changing my entire life/what is a food handler?

I never worked at Disney, so I really can't help you :( I just wanted to say, hang in there! I know it's hard now, but it will get better!

    Hollywood Studios

You could crunch in all the highlights in a half day, but I prefer to do a whole day in each park (with a couple days for MK).

    January 3rd-7th

I was last there this year from the 9th-16th, and the crowds were pretty light, and the weather was cool and perfect! We also had some overlap with the marathon, which was a bit of an inconvenience at times but altogether not too bad.
