How do bounce back offers work?

As others mentioned, value resorts should be included with a free QS dining plan, but you can pay to upgrade to the +dining plan. I would advise checking prices for moderates too though. By the time you pay o upgrade the QS dining plan, it is usually a very minimal increase in price to just stay...

The ultimate Christmas Foodie Vacation? or not?

If the goal of your trip is to focus on the food, then I think it is mostly pretty good. Day 4 and day 5 seem overloaded to me, but the other days would be okay as long as you understand you'll be getting very few attractions done. And do I see that you're planning on MVMCP twice? I personally...

    Adult ordering Kids Meal

Another option TS is to order an appetizer for your meal. So many times I've gazed longingly at a menu wishing I had room in my tummy for an app and entree! In fact, I have a few restaurants in my list that I plan on going to without a dining plan because I think the apps looks so fantastic...

Toddler eating off an adult plate?

With kids who are almost 2 I usually recommend having most of your meals at All You Care to Eat locations--buffets or family style. My son is a almost 2 and he ate tons of food at Cape May Cafe (probably more than his older sister, whinny actually had to pay for! ) it will give you the most bang...

    Disney World Character Costumes

The Disney store sometimes has tshirts that look like the Haunted Mansion cast members. I think I saw that they've come back this year in a recent email.

Moderate Resort Recommendation Needed for Early May 2017

I think both Port Orleans can be romantic! POR may have more subtle theming, but the resort is beautiful and nice for a stroll together. And I think you'll enjoy the boat to Disney Springs too.

    8:05 crystal palace....how long?

I always allow myself 90 minutes for a character meal, because I never know where my table will be in the rotation. Usually it is closer to right at an hour, but I've had a few that took longer. Crystal Palace was one of the longer experiences (although it was a very late breakfast...it may go...

    Change resorts

Both resorts are quite large and have an internal bus system or you will have to walk awhile if not in a preferred building. So, in my opinion, it really does come down to a matter of theme preference. I think the decor at CSR seems more upscale, and there are more "adult" areas, like Rix...

    Toddlers

I have taken both of my kids at about 20 months. With DD I had the little monkey backpack leash and we did not use it very much. It wasn't comfortable for her to lay back in her stroller with such a big lump of a monkey on her back, and it was too annoying and time consuming to take on and...

    Lesson from FP+: Persistence

Yes! Persistence pays off! I was able to make changes for all but the most sought after FPs (I'm talking to you, Frozen Ever After) on the fly even in busy June, which was great. Somehow things never go as planned when traveling with small children. I was so glad for the flexibility of the app!

    Dining Plan: Doing the Math

I prefer to think about what restaurants I want first, and then determine whether the dining plan will be a benefit to me. If you're doing several character meals or other All You Care to Eat locations, you'll almost certainly see savings on the Dining Plan. However if you've been itching to try...

    Early Sept or Late Jan?

Yeah, this is he huge drawback to January. It is very common for Splash Mountain to be closed, for example.

    Memory Maker

I am a frugal to say the least, and I definitely find memory maker worth it for us. My daughter likes to meet a lot of characters, and it is so nice to just enjoy the moment and not have to worry about taking pictures. And the rise photos are fun too! I live hag we have a picture of her holding...

Best character dining for 7 and9 year old boys

I would vote Garden Grill. Chip and Dale are a lot of fun to joke around with. Plus, even if they're not totally into the characters it is worth it just for the food. Seriously yummy!!! Chef Mickey's would be another solid choice, as someone already mentioned, due to the monorail zipping in and...

    Chef art smiths homecoming :)

I haven't eaten there, but it looks ah-mazing! I swear, I'm tempted to book a trip that centers only around dining options at Disney Springs (yeah right...like I could stay out of the parks! :p)

    Best Resort for January Stay

I vote Contemporary as well. While temperatures are normally still pretty warm in January, you will likely not be swimming. Seems a shame to stay at Beach Club and not utilize Stormalong Bay, you know? And you've already done Wilderness Lodge (I like to change things up, so I personally...

    MK for 3 & HS for 1 with 3 under 5?

I would also suggest Animal Kingdom for this trip if you kids are at all interested in animals and/or shows. Also, if they watch Disney Jr. the channel....they sure have been pushing Animal Kingdom commercials since they've been showing The Lion Guard! I considered skipping AK for our short...

When you visit Walt Disney World, do you purchse one of the Disney Dining Plans?

For me, it depends on how long I'm going to be there and the purpose of my trip. If it is a quick trip I sometimes just do 1-2 sit-down meals out of pocket so we can have as much time in the parks as possible. If it is a week-long trip I almost always get the dining plan, because we need a...

    Kingdom Konsultants - Which Agent?

Awww, that stinks! Even though my sister and I are only one county apart our school schedules very rarely match up. It is extremely frustrating! It is so worth planning the big trip together though. I planned a big family trip for us two years ago and we had a fantastic time!!!
