Chances of TRON attraction now that movie is out?

TRON ride in Tomorrowland or DHS or Future World?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88_Tyc9mTa4 Hmmm...curious. DCA's "elecTRONica" event has been going strong since early October (and still going), and the movie just came out a week ago - the one that the "vast majority of people don't know etc etc". Unless you're going to infer that the vast...

Which MK land do you think needs a makeover?

Adventureland without a doubt. It consists of a lot of palm trees and Tiki gods that people pass through on their to either Pirates of the Caribbean or Frontierland. There needs to be a big, new ride there in the same thrill vein of DL's Indiana Jones ride. I know the Jungle Cruise is...

Chances of TRON attraction now that movie is out?

An indoor motorbike-coaster is perfect for a Tron ride: theme it like a lightcycle race. What a motorbike-coaster looks like for those who don't know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbS8WGYAhMA&feature=related

2010 - An Exciting Year for WDW?

I'd give 2010 a grade of C+, nothing spectacular happened apart from bringing back some moldy oldies like MSEP and EO and some sprucing up. Mediocre is a good way to term 2010.

    Tron Legacy

There's already a thread in this forum for speculation on whether there will be a Tron attraction and what it might be: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=671372

Chances of TRON attraction now that movie is out?

I saw in IMAX 3D and I personally thought it was a great movie. I thought the special effects were outstanding, I had no problems with any of the acting, the soundtrack by Daft Punk was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G (I bought it the next day and am listening to it now while typing this) and I even agreed with...

    Disney, Universal win insurance waivers.....

Yes, Paris Hilton...definitely a hard-working penny pincher. Look, this is turning into a conservative-liberal flame war. Clearly you and I are on very different sides of this discussion, and I doubt we're going to change each others' minds on a message board thread about Disney; if you want...

Harry Potter IS making a difference!!

All TWENTY??!! Wow. Those are insane numbers. I don't even want to contemplate what's going to happen at Universal over the next two weeks...people will be waiting all day just to get into WWoHP. I wonder if that means lines will be normal length at the other IoA attractions because everyone...

Will Disney World be celebrating 40 years next year?

Well, Disney is a company like every other company. And barring some sort of huge paradigm-shift which always comes from the top down (read: Bob Iger or "insert name of future Disney CEO here"), the people that get promoted at Disney are the ones that tote the company line. Meaning if you are...

Harry Potter IS making a difference!!

To be fair, that's not *entirely* accurate. I can't speak as to what the budget was planned to be, but by the end of the Disney-Rowling talks, the concept was to do a Harry Potter niche park (like Discovery Cove or the axed-but-we'll-see Night Kingdom/Jungle Trek) which would of replicated just...

Harry Potter IS making a difference!!

Yes, I am. Rowling *really* wanted Disney to do it, and when they finally said no thank you, my spider-sense tells me Rowling realized that she wasn't going to get "exactly" what she wanted and decided to go a bit more with the flow when Universal came to make their pitch. Personally, I love...

    Disney, Universal win insurance waivers.....

Two thousand workers out of the roughly 85,000 that work in DL and WDW. I don't begrudge a business making money, but we're not talking about a mom-and-pop store down the street that is struggling to pay their bills. Revenue-wise, Disney is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in...

    Disney, Universal win insurance waivers.....

Or Disney and Universal could allow their part-time workers access to better health-care options. It's been documented many times that workers with better health-care stay healthier, meaning they don't miss work as often and do a better job. You're not seriously suggesting that these small...

Harry Potter IS making a difference!!

From what I have read, Disney took a pass on Harry Potter because Disney and JK Rowling couldn't see eye-to-eye on what a Harry Potter-themed area should contain. An example I read was Rowling's insistence on having all guests enter the land through the Leaky Cauldron pub, make their way to the...

    New Magic Kingdom Capacity?

The projections are based on an average of the last five years of attendance on that particular day with a little nudge up or down by management based on more recent trends. For the most part, the projections are good in determining staffing needs; worrying about having to close the parks due...

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

I have to agree with the previous poster. With FASTPASS, Disney has essentially said that the build-up to an attraction via elements in the queue is not as important as getting on the attraction as fast as possible. Now whether you agree with that sentiment, that certainly is debatable.
