Keys to the Kingdom tour....info on referb rides.

@FLdizMom, I took the tour in February and loved it! It was the highlight of my trip. Our tour guide (Steve) was phenomenal. We rode Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion along with some stops and some places including the parade float warehouse and the utilidors/backstage Main Street. If I had to...

How to make Animal Kingdom a full day park....

You can make the park a full day if you see all the shows and take some time to explore the trails. If you're in for the safari, Everest, and Dinosaur then of course it'll only take like 2 hours to do.

    Increased Security?

I've never seen security around the park, just at the front gates. Good to hear that some are patrolling in the park itself though.

quietest and busiest day to visit MK

I would say probably Friday-Monday are busy days for MK with Tues-Thurs being a little bit lighter on crowds. I read somewhere that Monday is the worst day to go, but my personal opinion would be that Saturday is the worst day to go.

    "Selfies" with characters?

I've done selfies with the characters before (in addition to regular pictures too). Some of them came out nicely and others came out kinda weird. It works better with the face characters since some of the fur characters have really big heads..

    Pirates

It's about a year or so old now but it doesn't work all the time. For me, it was a hit or miss with it while riding Pirates and I think I rode about six times during the trip.

    WDW enjoyment in your family...

No, my entire family enjoys going. We just tend to prefer different things and touring styles while we are there. I am the one in the family who likes it the most though.

    Fantasmic Dinner Package???

We've done the package once or twice. I definitely think it's worth it since you're guaranteed a seat and you don't have to line up to wait for one. It's also nice being on the right or center, which is where the seats are, because you can get out of the amphitheater fairly quickly.

Surviving on Only Treats and Snacks

I wouldn't be able to go with just snacks and treats. I'd need a quick service meal at least once a day. You can definitely go without a table service meal though.

Do you "move in" to your room?

Usually we live out our suitcases for the first day or so and once we get some down time at the resort we "move in". At other hotels we just live out of our suitcases for the whole trip.

1900 Park Fare or Whispering Canyon

I don't really care for the food at 1900 Park Fare, but I've never eaten at Whispering Canyon. The character interaction with the step sisters is really great but if you're really not feeling the Cinderella theme, then I'd go with Whispering Canyon.
