No More Free Samples at Ghirardelli

Was at Disney Springs last week and they were giving out free samples at The Ganachery.

60 days on the dot, and denied!

I wouldn't give up. On several recent trips, we got 7DMT and FOP while onsite for the same day. Seems especially to be the case for later at night.

    Caribbean Resort transportation

Overall, it wasn't bad at Martinique, especially getting off the bus first when returning to the resort. I just found that except for Epcot and HS you tended to have longer waits for the buses, and getting on as the first stop it took forever with all the other stops. Also, for some...

    Caribbean Resort transportation

Staying in Martinique last week (pre-marathon weekend) and using that bus stop saved us a couple of times heading to the parks. Being the first pick-up spot, after stopping next at Old Port Royale, Barbados, and Trinidad, the bus was so full it skipped Jamaica and Aruba so those folks had to...

    Caribbean Resort transportation

We were just there staying in a water view room in Martinique. Construction noises started at 8 am.

    Artist Point-Wilderness Lodge

Have eaten there several times over the past few years, and if every other table was occupied it was a good night. Hadn't had to wait for a table there in years.

Disney buys 1000 acres of land

Yeah, it sounds like what happens in NY on Long Island with what they call "Pine Barren Credits" or in ski country when resorts swap land with the government; all in the name of development rights elsewhere.

News Artist Point to become Storybook Dining character experience

I found on another site that the Pooh breakfast was there from 1998 to 2001, which fits in with my memories of eating there when my kids were little in 1998 and 2000.

    Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge?

Stayed at both many times over the years. Can't beat the Poly based on the monorail location and proximity to the TTC.

Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

That's why the WL was always our favorite, until the DVC build-out starting making that resort ridiculously priced!

What would Disney parks be if guests got what they wanted?

And my daughter used to feed the guests to the animals in Zoo Tycoon!

Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

To be honest, based on your example, I've had long check in lines at deluxes, I've walked quite far to car at deluxes, the deluxe buses aren't necessarily the shortest walk to the bus depot at the parks, and depending on where your room is walking to the hotel bus depot can be quite a hike (i.e...

    Walke Talkies

Used them way back when before everyone had cellphones and texting/messaging. Biggest problem was actually connecting with the other party due to poor coverage and/or other people on the same frequencies. Based on that, they never were really worth it.

What would Disney parks be if guests got what they wanted?

I have this vision of my young daughter playing either Roller Coaster or Zoo Tycoon! Yikes, talk about urban sprawl.

Dining at Ale & Compass (Yacht Club)

Ate there back in October, party of two for dinner. Yes, the Parker House Rolls were excellent! I was torn between the Seafood Pot Pie or the Coastal Clambake, and went with the server's suggestion of the Pot Pie. While it was very tasty, it was extremely heavy. Would probably go for the...

News PhotoPass at some character locations being replaced by automated cameras

I've often said I'm waiting for the day when my local municipality due to budget cuts eliminates sanitation workers and just drives the garbage truck down the road and homeowners have to run out to deposit their trash into the truck.

    Stouts in the World

Baseline when I was there last week didn't have a stout, but they did have a porter.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner

I find this video interesting. Killington in Vermont replaced the haul rope and cabins for the upcoming season, and the video show how they splice the cable together:

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner

Being a skier, I know that they run power lines between the towers as noted above. It's more direct and easier to do quick repairs for break, etc.
