We eat there all the time. The menu has scaled back over the years, but it's still a favorite of our family; not to mention that you can normally get same day reservations.

Depends on the resort. Staying at Coronado Springs in January, went to Bell Services and asked for one, and they gave it to me. They asked that I just return it back to them.

Was recently skiing out west, and a restaurant severed a drink with a metal straw. Briefly not paying attention when taking a sip, I almost chipped a tooth forgetting that the straw was metal. Ouch!

Actually, those prices aren't that bad. Attending local NHL games for the NY Islanders, during the regular season draft beers were $15, which they raised to $17 for the first round of the playoffs. Ouch!

It depends on your group/family size. Caribbean gives you slightly larger space, I believe double beds in Pop vs. queens in Caribbean. Also, Caribbean gives you a sit-down restaurant option, and a more formal lounge. As our kids became teenagers, we found the value resorts to be a little too...

Agree completely with your comments. As a long time guest who hasn't stayed off property since the 1980's, for our next trip I will seriously look at staying offsite. With the gradual erosion of resort guest benefits coupled with room rates outpacing inflation, I just don't see the value any...

Like any good business with shareholders, they'll keep raising prices and upcharging for various things as long as the market bears it. Eventually they'll cross some line somewhere that will backfire, but until they reach that point hold onto your wallets.

Getting to the same point. Stayed a lot onsite over the past two years based on family situations, and have become disillusioned with the price you pay for WDW properties vs. what you now get for your money. Next time down will seriously look off property.

Why not, they're basically down to only two nights a week (1 MK & 1 Epcot) anyway.

Find a nice quiet spot in one of the seating areas upstairs surrounding the lobby; great nooks and crannies to read, snooze, etc.

I've arrived at 11ish before, and it's just a matter of when your room is ready. I've gotten notified both early, and late in the afternoon.

The third picture with the cabins over the water got me thinking about another upsell idea for Disney. Rent poles for a new fishing experience, which you can then cook in the cabin when passing over the aforementioned "open pit barbecue"!
