It's very odd, but I work at Boardwalk four days a week and I've seen random flurries of activity there followed by weeks-long stretches of absolutely nothing. I would think if the deal fell through the signage would have been removed. Also, nothing new to have third parties on the Boardwalk...

Just wanted to update on this! Vanellope’s time at Imagination is coming to an end within the next few weeks, and Figment’s arrival to replace her is imminent. Given the popularity of the character I’m a bit fearful that there won’t be enough space and we could have ourselves another popcorn...

They did record totally new lines for Goofy for this year's parade. It is very odd, though, that they didn't bother doing ANYTHING with Mickey and Minnie's float and instead just removed Minnie's lines...didn't even fill the space where they used to be. I get the feeling that was a VERY last...

They stopped construction for weeks on end so it seems so very unlikely. But the pace has picked up lately for sure

I've been a bunch in the last few weeks and most recently (Saturday afternoon post-downtime), Finn was not working and Kylo was covered up at the end. however, my second most recent ride a few weeks ago, the absolutely pivotal Kylo/Hux scene was replaced by a screen...yikes bad show.

From what I understand they're using a float from one of the other parades. Mickey/Donald/Goofy will be elsewhere (hoedown?)

Thankfully, though it will be a walk-around character, it will not be "Figzilla" and will be closer in height to Mickey, Donald, etc. Still would rather Dreamfinder & Figment personally.

It really comes down to staffing and, to a lesser extent, costs. Why have Oswald, Robin Hood, Perla & Suzy for example when you can have 4 people playing Mickey in one reliable location? WDW guests “expect” certain characters in certain locations because that’s how the system has been groomed...

My guess is training for Adventure Friends Cavalcade at MK, but it's WAY overdue.
