    Why dislike for Iger?

Not accurate about Maelstrom. The lines were nearly always packed. As for the aforementioned, the originals were people eating omnimovers that could load thousands per hour with minimal wait. Of course the originals would be dated and in need of being modernized, but their quality was superb. If...

News New Stroller Size/Wagon Rules and Enforcement - Effective May 1 2019

Good for them. It's ridiculous with the amount of regular strollers as it is. Kids that can't even fit in strollers of any size and their parents pushing them around. Sorry, pet peeve. Our kids got out and about when they were little and had many strolls around the parks on my shoulders. :)

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

Interesting comments and I personally feel that they're spot on. Having been on the site for 20 years, I can say without question that some of the aforementioned named users brought some very interesting insight, but more than anything, plenty of negativity. The heart of the forums is @marni1971...

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

My kids can't understand how EPCOT was filled with 15 minute plus gems and is now down to what they consider to be boring and lousy rides. They love Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, yet can't even fathom how Imagination was once great. They love Figment, but rightfully think that JIYI is...

And FYI, it's couldn't care less, not could care less. Cast Member Voice said: I applaud anyone taking money from the Walt Disney Company and I could care less what you or anyone else thinks. I hope more cast members are doing it and getting away with it.

News Parking Fees increase effective October 16 2018

I know plenty of people that regularly go down to WDW and the reason that many of them have all the sudden stopped has nothing to do with SWL. We've had many friends finally at a breaking point with the pricing scheme and they're in two camps. One where it has simply become too unaffordable and...

News Parking Fees increase effective October 16 2018

@AEfx, you know (literally) that we go through this every time and the same arguments are made by those who continue to excuse away the price gauging. It's amazing how they can keep drinking the Kool Aid.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Marty Sklar made up the tale of the Horizons sinkhole, which as @marni1971 has discussed was utterly false. Sklar while eventually was the head of an Imagineering seemed to always be a PR operative at heart and they certainly are loose with the truth.

News Hall of Presidents Temporarily Closed?

It was just down like what happens all the time. My mom is down in ORL and saw Hall of Presidents this afternoon.

Is Mattel Toys in Disney's Future?

Having been in said industry for two decades, while it seems of interest, I'd still bet against it. This has been talked about in our industry's circle for many years (Disney acquiring one of the major toy manufacturers) and the issue is that Disney has never been very successful at producing...

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner

One thing that I can't help but wonder about is that there are lots of people (myself included) that aren't a fan of heights and have no interest in riding in a gondola. Monorails, planes, whatever aren't an issue, but I swear skyways, ferris wheels, etc., I think I'd rather have my eyes gouged...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Many resorts do, but most hotels do not. I've traveled extensively throughout the country and the vast majority of hotels provide a parking lot that you drive right up into and park, just like at a shopping plaza and many of those are very nice hotels. Resorts tend to have the room card just as...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Prime example of the price grabbing with Team Disney Orlando grabbing every cent out of your pocket in Florida: It's cheaper to park at the Disneyland Resort than at the Walt Disney World parks. $22 in Florida versus $20 in California and from merchandise to food, we found many similar items...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

There have been issues with WDW management going all the way back to Judson Green back in the 90's who began the process of while opening new attractions, they idle or close others to cut costs and never address capacity issues. It's all about priorities. One wonders about how much salary and...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

And Disneyland is on collectively 500 acres whereas WDW is on 25,000 acres that the company has owned for decades without nearly the land cost of California. The notion of paying in SoCal with land being at a premium isn't outrageous at all, it's outrageous when a corporation owns its own...

Knott's is pretty great and they do own Knott's today.

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

You mean that it's absurd to charge for parking for a glorified motel room with Disney characters in the courtyard?.... The greed never ceases to amaze anymore in the Iger era.

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Not when they have absurd room rates for compared to the industry and they own more than 25,000 acres of property. Parking charges in cities for hotels are understandable with high costs related to parking structures and property taxes. It's laughable to use the comparison there.

Magic Kingdom Possible Future Path Expansions

Actually, there will be significant issues in the Orlando area because of the St. John's River, which goes down to Sanford and up to JAX. Lots of the modeling shows a mess in areas like Sanford, Altamonte Springs, etc.

Magic Kingdom Possible Future Path Expansions

One can hope. I've owned EVs for several years and we have around 1% of the U.S. market share, however places like Norway are more than 50% of new vehicle sales.
