I'm feeling pretty old. Nobody used a laptop in class when I was in university. In fact, a lot of people didn't have desktops and the computer labs were always full.

The weather here has been unbelievably warm too. All the snow melted and it's green grass again. But a snowstorm is brewing and will pass through tomorrow night.

I think the difference is that you actually have to make an effort to go and check emails. Texts can come in at any moment and ruin your mood. I find people are less likely to write emails too with one little line. Maybe ban written communication? If you need to talk, make times to do that...

Thanks. The day of rest did him well. He actually went off to Beavers tonight because it was their last meeting until the New Year. His cough still sounds like a seal's bark but he has more energy and is coughing much less. Back to school tomorrow. I'm always amazed at how quickly the kids...

I think it's good for those of us who get a little blue. Reminds us that the world probably does need us for something.

And that's really nice too. I love this time of year. People definitely are more joyful or something. We are going carolling on Sunday and it's perhaps my favourite Christmas tradition.
