I'm a teacher, so I know the locked vacation times all too well. It's the desire (or time) to check religiously the airline fares for the low rates. And once our son is old enough that we have to pay for his own airline seat, we'll probably drive to FL again too, but save Frequent Flier miles...

I fly from JFK to LAX for about the same I fly Southwest to Orlando, maybe a little more, but nothing exorbitant. Just have to keep watching. Virgin America is the one I keep coming back to. And with the bus transportation in WDW, I would rather rent a car anyway than deal with that mess...

I wonder if it has to do with the huge flood that happened a week or 2 ago. We were there this weekend (Thurs-Monday) and everything seemed fine, but the ceiling definitely was a temporary solution.

Actually, I noticed quite a few times when we had to wait for what seemed an inordinate amount of time for our food. Not that we waited 90 minutes at Backlot Express, so don't question our intelligence! ;) but I don't know if the CP training slowed things down but I can think of at least 3-4...

Exactly what I said to my wife when I read that. We haven't been to WDW since 10/2010 and are going next week. Yet, I can't think of anything new additions. On the other hand, we've been to Disneyland 3-4 times between the 2 Disney trips, and there have been significant additions each time...

With the D23 Expo next year, makes you wonder if they'll hold their cards close to their chest until then, or announce to draw more people to come to the Expo to see the concept art and models.
