A plug for the touringplans "reservation finder" ADR tool

It's pretty great. I pretty much switched around all my dining reservations using this and got all the times and dates that I wanted. I'm still waiting on one to make my 9:05 Cali Grill reservation earlier, but I still have 3 months left so I have hope!

    Current FP+ advice.

I'm still a little over a month out for making my Fast Pass+ reservations but I'm trying to get ahead of the planning and I have a few questions. I haven't been in three years and have no FP+ experience and we are not Rope Droppers. At DHS, can you get a FP to meet Chewbacca? Do you need one...

    Oh wow! That's ridiculous!

    first time @ a value

I worked in a hotel that had these and when people complained we just had maintenance turn them off. I imagine Disney, being the company it is, would do the same.

Is Be Our Guest REALLY worth it?

Thanks for all the replies! I think I'm going to try to get a reservation for the Wednesday, but if I don't, I'm going to make the Monday reservation work!

Is Be Our Guest REALLY worth it?

I haven't been since 2013. I went every year in December for about 7 years before that, but I've heard the crowds have gotten worse recently. I'm not a rope drop person on vacation so I prefer to stay in the parks as late as possible. I agree with the alcohol for sure!!! That's probably why...

Is Be Our Guest REALLY worth it?

I've always found that the late EMH tend to clear out by the end of the night. People think they're going to stay until midnight...but they get tired. The alcohol is a plus, but I can always hop on the monorail and head over to Trader Sams. I really would love to experience BOG though...I'm torn.

Is Be Our Guest REALLY worth it?

So here's my dilemma. I had all my ADRs planned for December then late EMH were released for MK on Wednesday when I was planning on being at MK on Monday. I love being in the parks as late as possible. I have an 8:10 ADR at BOG on Monday. I'll keep looking for Wednesday, but if I'm unable to get...

    December 2016 Trip Questions

I've gone at the beginning of December several times. I've gone to the water parks and I've had to buy a hat and gloves because it dropped into the 30's at night. It's a toss up.

    Tipping for table service

Well if they're doing a crummy job and have a bad attitude then they don't deserve 20%. But if they have double tables and are smiling and working hard to serve all of them and maybe not paying as much attention as if they had five tables, yes, they deserve double. They are doing double work...

    Tipping for table service

That's why I suggest just not "going on the quality of service" and just leaving a flat 20%. If the person is rude, by all means leave less of a tip. But if they have a good attitude and are trying their hardest don't punish them monetarily.

    Tipping for table service

You shouldn't really tip less than 18% (15% is fine at a minimal service buffet) 20% is a good tip and easy to calculate. Also, when tipping based on service, remember that a lot of things aren't the server's fault. The kitchen may be backed up, someone may have called out and they have 6 extra...

Driving from CT with two small kids...any tips?

I grew up twenty minutes outside New Haven and lived in New Haven for 10 years. :) I looked it up. The detour I took around DC is I-895 to I-295 then you get back on 95 around Virginia. My GPS automatically rerouted me this way due to traffic and it was awesome.

Driving from CT with two small kids...any tips?

I grew up in Connecticut and I've done that drive several times as a child and adult. Like others have said plan getting through NY, NJ, and DC very carefully. I would suggest going around DC, I forget the exact route but I think it saves time. As a kid I remember the drive home being much...

    Sci-Fi - No Reservations?

Try the Touringplans.com reservation finder app. I've changed three of my reservations to ideal times using this (still waiting on one). It constantly searches for you and then when someone cancels it sends you a link to follow to book it. It's $13 or so for a membership but sooo worth it.

Cast members rules evolving over time

I have several tattoos, including some on my feet and legs, and I work a very professional job. Tattoos are permitted below the neck in my company but I still always cover them, including wearing black tights in the summer in Louisiana, to maintain integrity. Some people just have preconceived...

    Touring Plans reservation finder.

Just wanted to take a second and rave about this feature on touring plans. I booked some hard to get places like Be Our Guest and California Grill and just took the day/time available. Using this feature I was able to get the day and the time I wanted for almost all my reservations ( I still...

    Pop Century: Standard or Preferred?

I've stayed at POP in standard rooms twice before and never made a room request. The first I was in the 80's facing the parking lot which was actually kind of great because we rented a car and were super close to it. The second we were lucky and got a lake view. I'm staying again in December and...

Just randomly snagged a BOG reservation.

It's 5:50 but someone probably changed to the MVMCP time and dropped that one.

Just randomly snagged a BOG reservation.

I woke up at 4:30 am yesterday (my 180+ day) to be ready at 5 and was still unable to get a reservation. I was super bummed. I randomly just looked and got one for the exact day and time I wanted!
