    another parking situation thread

The parking is for your meal time only. If your have a reservation at 9am, it is going to take roughly an hour to eat. If you are really planning on being back from MK by noon, that leaves only two hours (and part of that time you will be taking transportation to the park, going through...

MUST TRY Snacks and Drinks in the parks!

Pretty much anything at Karamell-Kuche in EPCOT. We especially like the chocolate caramel cookies and the caramel corn.

When another Guest ruins an experience/attraction for you

The mister fans are the ones that annoy me. Not everyone wants to get sprayed in the face with water (especially after you see the kid repeatedly putting the end in his/her mouth)!

Spirit of Aloha show.. worth it?

We did the luau one year we when were on the dining plan. I thought the food and show were ok. My husband did not eat anything (he is VERY picky) but he thought the show was fun. We have also done Hoop Dee Doo. I know that everyone raves about it but we thought it was just ok too. The...

    Deluxe dining plan opinions?

We have done the deluxe plan several times. We really enjoy the signature restaurants, character buffets, and the dinner shows. I know it might be a little cheaper if we paid for everything out of pocket but we really like having the convenience of everything paid for in advance.

If you could bring back an old Disney attraction, what would it be?

While I agree with you on most of this, some of the dark rides (Mr. Toad and Snow White) had a different type of artistry to them than the rides today. I still enjoyed the Snow White ride the last time I rode it before it closed.

If you could bring back an old Disney attraction, what would it be?

The theater at Exposition Hall. It almost felt like a hidden gem. It seemed to me a kind of salute to what originally gave the parks their start (the old Mickey cartoons). There was hardly ever anyone back there (probably why they got rid of it). It was a nice place to cool off or avoid a...

This WDW commercial really frustrates me so much

I've been to Dollywood. It is not the same ride. As with all things at Disney, it is the theming that makes the difference -- the paint scheme on the cups, the dormouse, the lanterns, etc. And I totally get what the OP is saying; if you are doing an ad for one park, the specific rides should...

What little things that WDW used to do/have do you miss?

I miss tips being included on the "free" dining plan. I miss the Main Street Bakery. But most of all, I miss Scoop on Main Street!

When rules don't apply to others; I want to hear your stories

I think the difference, it seems to me at least, is that Starbucks doesn't blend in. It wants to stand out. It seems to me that in the past there were sponsored areas but they tried to fit the theme of wherever they were at. There is Club Cool in Epcot but it has international sodas--kind of...

    Thoughts on castle projections?

I haven't seen the new show but I saw the previous projection shows and I was really surprised that I liked it! I was all set to hate it but after seeing the projections, I changed my mind. It was cute, fun, and sometimes gave me all the feels.

    Other cruise lines...

For those of you who have done other cruise lines.... We are considering trying another line. Some of the other lines are so much cheaper and we would get to explore other ports. It is just my husband and myself. I did Royal Caribbean a few years ago with a friend. I enjoyed it. I actually...

My Unpopular WDW Opinion - post yours!

I love Spectromagic and much preferred it to the Main Street Electrical Parade. I'm not a fan of the Nemo show at AK.

    Two questions about Nassau

We did our own thing in Nassau on our first cruise. We were very inexperienced travelers and we were fine. We took a taxi to Atlantis and looked around at the free parts (casino, shops, etc). We visited a public beach. We shopped a little around the port area and went to the straw market...

    Help...... with cruise choice

You might want to think about switching around your plans a bit. We like to do the parks first and then the cruise. We have done it both ways and found that after doing the parks for several days straight we are exhausted. Cruising is much more relaxing. We like to end our vacation feeling...

WDW vet, first time cruiser - advise appreciated

For us, the balcony is absolutely worth it. We spend a lot of time out there. My biggest tip--don't feel like you have to go to every meal in the MDR. We have done 4 cruises with Disney and for the first three we felt like we had to go to the MDR every night. The servers really pressure you...

A few years ago were dining at California Grill and a pretty blond girl and her party were seated next to us. The staff was making a big fuss over her but we had no idea who she was. We discreetly asked our waiter who she was. He said "A Playboy bunny-Holly Madison. Not that I would know-the...

Coronado Springs Sept 01-13 2016 worst stay in 22 years

You can get good or bad maid service at any resort. I generally leave $4-$5. It is just the two of us and we are generally pretty neat. Once at POR, the maid put our dirty, wet towels we had left on the bathroom floor in our open suitcase on top of our clean clothes! And closed the top of the...
