Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Think your math is off there. Should be $196m. Still a solid chunk of change, but not new park money.

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

Yeah, the state park on the US side is extremely nice. View is much nicer on the Canadian side though. The surrounding area is awful, I'm still perplexed how much the City blew one of the top tourist attractions in the world. Niagara Falls, Canada is more of what one would expect on the US...

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

As a WNYer, Buffalo is amazing this time of year. Way better than Florida at this time (though obviously winter is beyond rough). Beautiful city and it's on the rise again. Tons of satellite offices for big tech and biomedical companies opening. Real estate has gotten way more expensive in the...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Clear path is to go yo an Express Pass-type alternative. Make it more expensive and exclusive by putting a hard cap on number sold. Guest satisfaction for those who buy that increases. Obviously Disney can and would price it higher than the comparable alternatives.

Interesting. I would have figured they would want the money up front from folks.

    Disney’s Q2 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

Probably part of it. My guess is that is the overall hit pulling licensed shows off of other streaming services onto their caused.

    Disney’s Q2 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

I find ESPN+ pretty solid. If you’re a hockey or international soccer fan it’s a no brainer for the price point. They have added a lot of pretty valuable college rights to the package as well.

    Disney’s Q2 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

Yeah saw those. saw others as well. May have been different forecasts.

    Disney’s Q2 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

I saw 1.07 EPS expected (so pretty much bang on) and $18.88b rev expected but also saw those other numbers. And I see people mixing the 2 lol.

    Disney’s Q2 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

Seeing multiple different expected EPS and expected Revenue numbers. Either Disney missed or pretty much hit targets but they definitely had stronger streaming and parks segments than expected.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I have to imagine at some point it will be standby. But maybe not. It does seemingly have a very high capacity.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

This seems like really bad design by Disney if you're saying what I think you're saying. Seems like a disaster if they only have 30 mins worth of queue indoors and an outdoor queue that doesn't even have dividers, much less shade.

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

Of course, Paris and the surrounding region has one of, if not the single best, metro/regional rail system in the entire world. It’s so well integrated and can take you pretty much anywhere in Paris and the suburbs.

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

It makes complete sense for the train to stop at the Convention Center/I-drive. If Disney is somehow upset they shouldn't be. I'm also sure that the convention crowd will use this at a higher percentage than Disney guests as well.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

One of the higher capacity rides WDW has done in modern times. That’s actually reallly impressive. At least this means more people will get to ride via VQ to start than I thought

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Would have to think it's open by then. They are starting to move on rockwork for Moana, the rest of this isn't particularly complicated other than the festival building (which seems easy to throw up, but who knows), mostly concrete work and landscaping which moves very quickly from dirt to...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

My guess (no source) is that if it is opening Fall/Winter, they will announce that an opening date relatively soon after Guardians officially opens. Guardians was announced for Summer 2022 6 months before opening (Nov 2021), but that was after Rat had opened. That being said, if it really is...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Yep. But exposed coaster track is a mortal sin for many Disney fans (unless, again, it is something like a train).

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

I agree with you that Disney really isn't all that interested in a large, obvious coaster track (unless they can theme it to a train) in most circumstances. Doesn't really fit with their MO, even if it could still be well themed. I also personally don't care all that much about that, even at a...
