We did both Pirates & Pals and the Dessert Party on our last trip, and much preferred Pirates & Pals. Such a fun atmosphere, and still a fantastic view of Wishes. Felt much more like an 'experience'.

Proximity to MK is important this time, as we'll be spending the bulk of our time there with our 3 year old. Thanks for your advice- I'm taking it all on board! :)

So, it turns out that the pool will be closed at WL for the duration of our trip. Kinda sucks when we've had the trip booked for months, and we're travelling with a pool loving 3 year old :( I've spoken to our TA (and we're still trying to negotiate with the travel company), and we could switch...

Out of interest, is there a link anywhere to it being mentioned on the official website? Would just like to have it handy to strengthen my bargaining position with the TA if necessary ;)

Thanks for keeping me updated. I spoke to another TA today, and waiting on yet another call back. Goodness knows where this will end up. No matter what happens, I am NOT losing my dining plan, that's for sure! Keep battling! ;)

When I went in December, the date I wanted didn't open up until 7 or 10 days in advance (I can't remember exactly, but I know I was already on my trip!). Best advice is to just keep checking every day, and it will open up for you eventually :) Good luck!

Gutted about this, as I was looking forward to taking my little boy into the pool. Kind of weird that they should do it when the weather is still 'pool weather', rather than look at a Dec/Jan/Feb refurb time instead? It's frustrating to find this out, especially since we booked our trip so far...

Sunshine Seasons has some great choices, and truly something for everyone! We really like the teriyaki chicken at Katsura Grill, too.

Tricky one. Love that atmosphere and novelty of Sci-Fi but 50s edges it, because the food is a lot better and the setting is still pretty fun. To be honest, we usually fit both in on our trips, so I reckon you should go for it ;)

I'm really shocked that it was so tough. I made mine a couple of weeks ago and just out of curiousity, I've been checking back to see what's still available. The only two which have no availability now are Chef Mickeys and The Crystal Palace for breakfast (and CP only went a couple of days ago)...

I love Skechers Go Walk. They're not sneakers in the traditional sense, but they're super light, super comfortable and are made from breathable fabric so don't have to wear socks with them. Comfiest footwear I've ever had!

I've never stayed at AKL but I've heard wonderful things. We stayed in a one bed villa at Saratoga Springs and loved it. So spacious, peaceful and relaxing :)
