    Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party

We did both Pirates & Pals and the Dessert Party on our last trip, and much preferred Pirates & Pals. Such a fun atmosphere, and still a fantastic view of Wishes. Felt much more like an 'experience'.

Wilderness Lodge vs Contemporary Resort dilemma

Proximity to MK is important this time, as we'll be spending the bulk of our time there with our 3 year old. Thanks for your advice- I'm taking it all on board! :)

Wilderness Lodge vs Contemporary Resort dilemma

It's the beginning of November, so I guess the monorail service will be back up and running by normal by then?

Wilderness Lodge vs Contemporary Resort dilemma

So, it turns out that the pool will be closed at WL for the duration of our trip. Kinda sucks when we've had the trip booked for months, and we're travelling with a pool loving 3 year old :( I've spoken to our TA (and we're still trying to negotiate with the travel company), and we could switch...

    Wilderness Lodge Feature Pool Closure

Out of interest, is there a link anywhere to it being mentioned on the official website? Would just like to have it handy to strengthen my bargaining position with the TA if necessary ;)

    Wilderness Lodge Feature Pool Closure

Thanks for keeping me updated. I spoke to another TA today, and waiting on yet another call back. Goodness knows where this will end up. No matter what happens, I am NOT losing my dining plan, that's for sure! Keep battling! ;)

    Lunch at Be Our Guest

When I went in December, the date I wanted didn't open up until 7 or 10 days in advance (I can't remember exactly, but I know I was already on my trip!). Best advice is to just keep checking every day, and it will open up for you eventually :) Good luck!

    Wilderness Lodge Feature Pool Closure

We've done exactly the same thing, and I'm waiting on a call back from Virgin, too.

    Wilderness Lodge Feature Pool Closure

Gutted about this, as I was looking forward to taking my little boy into the pool. Kind of weird that they should do it when the weather is still 'pool weather', rather than look at a Dec/Jan/Feb refurb time instead? It's frustrating to find this out, especially since we booked our trip so far...

    Making ADRs next week! Opinions?

I'm not really a 'play along' kind of person either, but I've done 50s Prime Time twice and the servers have never bothered us at all. I guess they pick up on how likely you are to want to play along, and I must have been giving off a vibe ;) The food and atmosphere is great though, so maybe...

Best QS for lunch in Epcot?

Sunshine Seasons has some great choices, and truly something for everyone! We really like the teriyaki chicken at Katsura Grill, too.

    Chef Mickeys

We did a ton of character meals on our last trip and sometimes, you have to accept that the quality of food might not be outstanding and it is more about the overall experience. If seeing the 'fab 5' is really important to the child in your party (as it was to my boy), then it's absolutely...

    Garden Grill Not Rotating

I guess ultimately, it's down to what is most important to you PERSONALLY about eating at Garden Grill. We will be going in November with our 3 year old, whether it's rotating or not. The character interaction is wonderful, and we found the food to be very good. However if it was just myself...

    character dining

We were pleasantly surprised by Akershus. Food was very good, and my DS didn't even mind the princesses ;) Chef Mickeys was the favourite character meal of our trip. Can't beat seeing Mickey and the gang! Garden Grill was wonderful. The good was fresh and delicious, and the character...

    Sci Fi vs 50s

Tricky one. Love that atmosphere and novelty of Sci-Fi but 50s edges it, because the food is a lot better and the setting is still pretty fun. To be honest, we usually fit both in on our trips, so I reckon you should go for it ;)

All Reservations taking tips on what to do?

I'm really shocked that it was so tough. I made mine a couple of weeks ago and just out of curiousity, I've been checking back to see what's still available. The only two which have no availability now are Chef Mickeys and The Crystal Palace for breakfast (and CP only went a couple of days ago)...

It's official!!! I'm going back.. November here we come!!

Congrats! We're going 4-14th November :D Hoping it's a good time of year to go! We loved Garden Grill on our last trip, and we've booked it again for this trip :)

    FP+ at BoG

Maybe the CM was trying to put people off using it, or else it might become another crazy popular thing, like trying to get a reservation for dinner It's definitely worth checking daily, to see when the days open. When I did the FP+ this past December, the day I wanted didn't become available...

Recommend the best walking shoe for Parks (not sneakers)

I love Skechers Go Walk. They're not sneakers in the traditional sense, but they're super light, super comfortable and are made from breathable fabric so don't have to wear socks with them. Comfiest footwear I've ever had!

    Dillema

I've never stayed at AKL but I've heard wonderful things. We stayed in a one bed villa at Saratoga Springs and loved it. So spacious, peaceful and relaxing :)
