    Crystal Palace thoughts...

We did CP for lunch in our last trip, and really enjoyed it. It proved to be a surprise hit for our DS, who was previously not too fussed on Pooh & his friends. Every time he saw a character, he squealed in delight, and ran towards them to give them a hug :) When it was time to leave, he had a...

Wilderness Lodge pool rehab 9/3/2014- 11/27/2014 .. should avoid or no?

It depends how much the construction would bother you, and how much you're planning on using the pool. We'll be travelling with a 3 year old, so having an accessible pool is a biggie (I know that guests staying at WL during construction are allowed to use the pool at CR, but didn't fancy...

    Disney Reservation Number

I've booked my last two trips with Virgin, both 13 months in advance. I usually ask for my Disney reservation number within a couple of months of booking, and I've had it both times within a couple of days of asking.

    Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake ?

The ooey gooey toffee cake is worth the lunch reservation on its own :)

    Stroller Troubles

I agree with others on here in that if your child wants to walk, there's no point you all getting stressed with getting them into a stroller. We'll be hiring a stroller, but expect our 3 year old to walk to majority of the time. However, it will be there if he gets tired, or if he needs a nap...

Old key west vs Saratoga Springs

We stayed at SSR on our last trip, and loved it. We found it roomy and well kept, and also relaxing & peaceful. The food choices are decent, but the proximity to Downtown Disney with it being walking distance, is a big bonus.

    Tusker House Characters

We're doing Tusker House this time, mainly because of Daisy. When we did Chef Mickey's last time, my DS wanted to know where Daisy was. I had to tell him that she was back at the Clubhouse, looking after it for everyone

    Snacks on DDP

I second the mentions for the chilli cheese fries at Pecos Bill and the yummy cakes & pastries at Les Halles in France :) Great value!

To keep 'Ohana ADR, or change to an Epcot restaurant?

Oops, sorry! I'll go and take a look now. Sounds like 'Ohana has become a head scratcher for a few of us lately! ;)

Wilderness Lodge vs Contemporary Resort dilemma

Thanks! I've never even considered BC as an option before because it's always been way out of our price range, so I'm still a bit amazed to be honest! The location is so awesome :)

To keep 'Ohana ADR, or change to an Epcot restaurant?

We've got an early ADR for dinner at 'Ohana on the last night of our trip (which will also be our wedding anniversary). We made the ADR when we had our booking at WL but because of the pool closure, we've since moved to BC. Obviously now, we'll be walking distance from Epcot and all of the...

    Wilderness Lodge Feature Pool Closure

Did you get anywhere changing your resort in the end? We finally switched yesterday to Beach Club, and our free dining plan is being honoured too :)

Wilderness Lodge vs Contemporary Resort dilemma

Well, it was a decision taken out of our hands in the end. When we went through the process of trying to switch, the difference was actually $2000 in the end- way out of our price range :( We have decided that we're going to save extra hard and do the Contemporary on our trip in 2 years time...

    Beach Club standard room advice

Following the pool closure at WL, we have ended up switching our trip to Beach Club. I'm sad we won't be nearer MK in a way, but can't believe our luck staying at BC as it was always way out of price range! We will only be in a standard room though, so I was wondering which rooms would be best...

Probably a silly question about my ADRs, but I'll ask it anyway!

Thanks everyone. My ADR confirmation numbers have already been saved, printed out and filed (the control freak in me is helpful for some things occasionally!), so I will have them to hand. It's all getting a bit messy with the dining plan on my reservation (it was free when we booked but now the...

Probably a silly question about my ADRs, but I'll ask it anyway!

At the moment, I'm in no mans land with my trip. Since it was announced that the pool will be closed at WL during our trip, we've been working with our TA about what our options are, and we may well end up switching to Contemporary instead. It's probably a silly question but if we do switch...
