Because DVC only has so many rooms whereas the resorts have more. It's one reason why I never bought DVC. Its really difficult to get the low point rooms unless you book far in advance.

This! Same thing for us, you take a elevator up and there is a neat soda machine We had to sit on the floor though, no tables and chairs lol

Isn't there a rental place near disney? Maybe you can rent from them and drop it off at the rental near disney and take a cab to Pop? Check the local rental places, I even think there is one close to the swan?

When i booked the POR this time around I specifically asked for the alligator bayou rooms. When I spoke to the CM on the phone I confirmed I would get that particular room and she said yes. Now I have upgraded to the royal rooms, so I don't have any confirmation if I was going to get it or not...

I have yet to get a upgrade, how cool that all of you got some extra pixie dust!

Still comes out cheaper then health costs ;) I just got a bill for 6 stitches in my head, my amount due after insurance $1088.00. Yup, that's after insurance O_O

I think it may be ideal for you, since you only plan to go once a year and you know your dates ahead of time.

You may want to explain the times for the shuttle. It is nowhere near what disney provides. I have stayed off site before and was never able to use the shuttle service as it was very limited.

I asked for anything in September and October. Nothing available for those dates and only deluxe which was out of my price range.

I was at the world in May and called about bounce back for October with no luck. No bounce backs available unless you go to a deluxe.

The only time I had issues with transportation was at a value, and it was because there were too many people in there. Otherwise no issues here. I love the bubble, its really carefree for me and allows my husband to not have to worry about driving here or there.

Check out my list below, we have stayed off site a lot of times. But have vowed to save the money and stay onsite, even if it is at a value. It's just way better onsite, the boys really enjoy the buses etc. So yeah, off site is less money, but thats it.
